One of our favorite memories from WDW is being on BTMRR during the fireworks. Is it as magical at DL? Can you see the fireworks from BTMRR during the outdoor portions of the ride?

I haven't been to WDW since 1985, so I can't compare, but I can say that yes, you can see the fireworks from BTMRR. We discovered this purely by chance, but it was awesome!

Yes you can! I've been on it before when the fireworks are happening! In January we were on screaming at DCA when the fireworks were going on and it was super cool to see them from that one too!

Yup...being on BTMRR during the fireworks is a great experience. Now you only get about three minutes of intermittent fireworks but it add a lot to the ride!

My kids had it down to a science the last couple of years before the 60th anniversary. We would pull fastpasses and they would enter the line right as the fireworks were starting. About 50% of the time, this would put them going up the hill just as Dumbo was flying back in to his drop-off area :goodvibes

Oh, I never thought about this! Thank you! That is my favorite ride and it would be so fun to be on it when the fireworks were going off!! Something to add to my list!

It's definitely magical! It is one of my favorite memories of our visit, coming in and out of the tunnels with the fireworks bursting overhead and the castle all lit up. We just kept smiling at each other and saying "wow!". I highly recommend it. Glad to know we can do it again this time at DL in April.

Thanks all for your responses.

We did this in WDW for the first time this past summer and will probably try it in DL this coming summer...
:offtopic: Funny story when we got off the ride we got a show of an entirely different kind when I watched a group in front of us get into a verbal argument which culminated in one woman pulling another woman's hair so hard she nearly fell to the ground. Hubby and I located the nearest CM we could find (at the entrance to the ride) and waited until a lead could come out and talk to us. Working in security I had absolutely no problems following them at a distance with the lead until they could get security in to the area. Probably not an experience most people would enjoy but I actually found it fun to see how their security works. :worship:
