Just read somewhere else and confirmed on Disney.com that Big Thunder Mountain's rehab has been extended to 11-29. Anyone know why it was extended one week? I would understand delayed indefinetly due to CA problems but just one week, something not get done it time?

I have no idea why, but that is a bummer! I was under the impression that it would open right on schedule... too bad :(

Does it open on the 29th? We are leaving on the 30th, but the last day we could do the parks would be the 29th

Sighs......I am SO BUMMED!!!! MY 5 year old FINALLY wanted to go on this ride after years of being scared, she was excited! Oh well....going to cross my fingers and hope for some pixie magic that it might come off earlier!

The cast information has also been changed to re-opening on Nov. 30. The only thing I can think of is that they are still working out the kinks with the new computer system. During the rehab they installed a new computer software program for the ride. They have been doing test and adjust the past two weeks (were they actually have been running the ride without guests). They have used weighted water dummies to have the weight of a fully loaded train and they have also been running the trains empty. They also need to re-train all the CM's as it is a new system. The date being pushed back is a surprise to me as well as I know they had anticipated it to be on time and the CM's have been scheduled back to the attraction. But it is better to wait until it is ready to open than to rush into it.

I soooo wanted BTMRR to be open since we'll be there 11/23-11/28. Darn.
