I kept getting notices that my connection was lost without even seeing the homepage of VMK..check my fire wall settings..all that JUNK I GET WHEN I AM ON FOR 40 MINUTES!!

I have had this bsod for the last 35 hours. I have tried everything to get rid of it. I have tried to contact a tech from VMK but that was useless. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

I know!!! Gosh why couldn't they test the rooms after its closed for heaveans sake!

I'm sure they do test the rooms and other things when VMK is closed. I used to test software in a former life and load testing was always the most difficult to do well. It's difficult to simulate a realistic load on the systems. You can set up tests to simulate a lot of users at one time but you probably won't be able to simulate the actual way people use the system. In my job, we almost always had to sign on to the customer's system and watch the bug happen and diagnose it while the system was live.

I have no idea how VMK is tested but I do cut them some slack with the game crashing under a large load of users. Nightmares of hung processes hogging CPU time creep into my head when these crashes happen. Imagine trying to figure out why a country's stock market keeps crashing. Fixing that type of problem was very labor intensive and cost millions of dollars. I'm guessing VMK doesn't have the resources to solve this problem and they probably won't have the resources since the game is free.

That said, I really hate it when VMK crashes under a large load of users.

i keep freezinfg up on vmk it is getting on my last nerve !!! what the heck is wrong with vmk??
