BRV vs CCV Studios with a preschooler and toddler

We currently have a studio at BRV booked for mid-May, which at the end of the day we’re perfectly happy with. I originally booked it because I thought our 3yo would love the fold down bed but I have a feeling she’ll do better on the pull out as she’s a bit of a wild sleeper in terms of movement. Our little guy is still in a pac and play.

I put in a wait list for CCV in that it looks like it may be a better set up if we aren’t using the Murphy. Thoughts?

My 4 year old loves the Murphy bed and my 1 year old sleeps in the pack n play. My 4 year old sleeps wild too, but has never fallen off the Murphy bed. She likes it because it’s her own personal space. I just put some pillows on the floor so if she does happen to roll off, it isn’t that big of a deal. The beds are also lower than a real bed. We stay at the VGF...not sure if they are the same at all resorts.

Do you need a tub for the kids? Some of the CCV studios are walk-in shower only. There are two booking categories for CCV studios. If tub is important, make sure you are waitlisted for the studio with tub/shower combo.

Ah yes! Thanks for calling that out. We are waitlisted for the standard w/ tub.

No sure about CCV, but we stayed in a studio in BRV and the floors were extremely slippery (imitation wood) and we had to be very careful with our little ones

Maybe it was just our unit though

BRV studios are slightly bigger, on average, with a few odd studios at CCV having a bigger layout. But they're luck of the draw.

CCV has the laminate flooring, I believe. It's becoming a new standard.

Yes, that lovely laminate flooring is now standard, and I've read posts of slippage in CCV, as well. As aurora says above, the VWL (I can't call them that new name) rooms are larger, so that might play as a small factor.

Our 2 year old loved the Murphy beds (at VGC, VGF, and Poly... I'm assuming they're the same type at BRV). He did fall off but we had put pillows on the ground and it's low enough that it wasn't bad. I'm not a fan of the sofa beds, so we like to bring an inflatable The Shrunks toddler bed when we stay somewhere without the Murphy bed. Doesn't take up too much space in luggage and he sleeps great in it.
