BRV vs CCV *Studio* Balcony Question

We (just two of us) tend to spend a Lot of time on the balcony with a cup of coffee, wine, etc. I think someone mentioned their CCV studio had a balcony that was too small to sit and enjoy the view?! We received a studio at VGF one time that had a high enclosed balcony and it really made the stay almost miserable, so I don't want to make That mistake again lol.

Any suggestions for which studios (BRV or CCV) to book, and request, for the best chance at a nice patio or balcony?

The only balconies to avoid at CCV IMO would be those on the top floor of the section. It would be either the 6th or 7th floor depending on the area of the building you are in: CCV Floor Maps.

The reason I say to avoid those is because they would be the high enclosed balconies that you are referring too at VGF.

Also to note if you plan on booking a Walk-In Shower Studio it will never be on the ground floor, if you book a Tub Studio it will most like be on the ground floor (with only 1 per floor otherwise).

As for BRV I don't think they have enclosed balconies at all, though I can't be certain. However, you can either face the woods/lake or woods/front for a majority of the rooms there. Whereas at CCV the views will mostly be Copper Springs Pool/Lake or Boulder Ridge Pool/Woods, very few wouldn't be either of those.

Thanks, super helpful. I looked at the CCW Floor Maps link and it looks like the Studio-Shower rooms are almost entirely either right next to the elevators or facing the rear Neither of those locations sounds great lol. So rethinking that again...

Great question! FYI the balconies at AKV Jambo also have the privacy partitions. I'm not sure I want to see my neighbors up that close in their jammies in the morning (unless kids, of course). There was some guy across the way last time who thought his Very abbreviated underclothes were okay, I was happy we were at a distance as that just made it funny instead of awkward.

CCV has partitions in between balconies. your only exceptions for "non-private" type balconies would be the ones that are right at a building bend (where the other villa balcony is at a 90 degree to yours). or the few villas over the check-in desk (none are studios). DH and I love sitting on the balconies every visit and we rarely get a balcony at CCV we don't like. I have had good luck requesting a balcony with railing to avoid the enclosed balconies in the roof line.

If you've gotten a Studio right next to the elevators, can you recall if the equipment is loud?
