So, I just listened to the top 2 TS credit restaurants list and need to know... How does Flying Fish make their brussel sprouts? I love brussel sprouts when they are made the right way!

I know I've seen Lydia Bastianich (hope I spelled that right) make them by cutting out the entire core (the part that contains the horrid sulphur tasting bits that most people don't like), peel the head into individual leaves (taking out any big/hard veins) and then stir fry them in some EVOO, minced garlic, a pinch of red pepper flakes, and drizzle with fresh lemon juice/zest. That seems like it would be mighty tasty (although labor intensive).

Can't remember exactly, but we had them a few weeks ago there and they were good. Texture and the right level of crispiness is key.

We make brussel sprouts a ton - actually just had them yesterday

We cut them up into like quarters or so and then roast the heck out of them in the oven and then drizzle some maple syrup on them

Here's my go-to brussel sprouts recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Take bag of frozen brussel sprouts.
3. Open one end.
4. Take bag into backyard.
5. Fling brussel sprouts over fence into neighbor's yard.
6. Go back inside.
7. Turn off oven.
8. Order pizza.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh. Especially because I love brussel sprouts and my husband absolutely, positively despises them.

Try this one on.

I hate cabbage. Cabbage is evil beyond belief. Every variety, every little thing about cabbage. I like brussel sprouts. Properly cooked that is, there are a lot of ways to mess them up.

We love roasted Brussels sprouts! They are probably my favorite veggie.

They are also great with some thick balsamic drizzled on them.

Brussels Sprouts are actually my favorite vegetable. I like 'em cooked any way. My favorite is roasted with garlic.
