Brunch menu

If I have a ceremony at 12 noon can I still use one of the brunch menus for the reception? We currently are penciled in for a 10 am cement but I was considering changing to a noon ceremony for getting ready purposes. I really like the brunch menus but my concern is also that with a noon ceremony and using the ADH that means the reception would end at 5 pm does that mean if it ends at 5 that the food and beverage minimum goes up to the $5,000 mark. If anyone has any info on this it would be much appreciated.

You can have whatever kind of food you want on your menu, but how much you are charged at minimum does depend on the time of day. For a noon ceremony, the food and beverage minimum goes up to $100/person. As for triggering the higher venue-specific food and beverage minimum at ADH, it seems like it could go either way. Technically, events that end between 5pm and 8pm have that $5,000 minimum. So maybe you could have your event end at 4:30pm. Heck, maybe you could get all silly and say you want it to end at 4:55pm. I just don't think that if you get out of there 1 minute past 5pm they're going to ding you for the higher minimum.

Personally, I'd stick with the 10am ceremony just because it guarantees everything will be cheaper—the ADH minimum, the per-person minimum, and the overall minimum expenditure (if your event is on Friday, Saturday or Sunday).

I agree with Carrie on this, why take the risk of the higher minimums? I would stick with the 10am to avoid that becoming a factor (even though it may not be!)

I asked about using a "brunch" menu at a noon ceremony and they said that it would have to be a custom menu with that menu but it was possible.

How long is it going to take you to get ready? We're having a ten am and past brides from here from that ceromony time have had more then enough time to get ready if that's what you're worried about. Prices go way up the later you have it like carrie and others states.

Are you having a pre-reception? If so, then your reception would end at 6 (unless you shorten it) and the higher minimums would definitely apply.

I think we will stick with the 10 am you guys are right it is better to keep the lower minimums. How early am I going to need to begin getting ready? I was thinking at least 7 am....

It depends on how many people you have getting their hair/makeup done, how far you are from your ceremony location, and whether or not you'll be doing pictures before your ceremony. I'm having 5 people get their hair and makeup done, our ceremony is at 5, we're doing a first look and pictures with our bridal party beforehand, and Beaute Speciale will be arriving at 11. My photographers are arriving at 3, so that is the "ready" time as far as hair and makeup.
