I searched for this answer, but couldn't find anything about a brunch in general....only brunch relating to the resorts.

We typically go to the Brunch (all you can eat) at the Renaissance Sea World hotel, but they are remodeling the lobby and are not doing brunch until after the first of the year.

So Im looking for a good replacement. Preferrably a buffet, that serves mimosas (preferrably all you can drink mimosas too :rotfl2: )

I've had brunch at:
Dexter's at Thorton Park
Gaylord Palms (which is a good second to the Renaissance) but I want to try something new

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I'm open to on site or off site places.

the Cont use to have a champagne brunch - but they did away with it years ago.

I loved the Renaissance one too.

someone say that Peabody had one - but this was years ago - don't know if it is still true.

now JW Marriott or Ritz-Carlton might have one - don't know. you might try the Hyatt Grand Cypress, too.

this was Sunday brunch only - not a daily one.

There use to be a jazz brunch at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. :cool1:

I'll check out those other resorts/hotels. Thanks.

I havent done the Gospel Brunch yet....that might be a good one. But its that just individual entrees...not a buffet style one???

The Gospel Brunch is a buffet, we love it!! We try to go often, the entertainment and the food is great. We love the Gaylord Palms brunch but have not tried the one at the Renaissance, may have to try it when it opens up again.

The Renaissance Brunch is out of this world.

The waiters never allow your mimosa glass or coffee cup to even get empty. There are strolling muscians that stop at each table and sing.

And the buffet just goes on and on for miles. Desserts stacked up to the cieling, seafood, cheeses, pastries, cakes, carving station, eggs anyway you want, waffles and on and on.

The Gaylord brunch was about 1/10 of the amount of food.....which is why we were kind of disappointed.

We made reservations for the Peabody for tomorrow. I'll let you all know what I think of that one.

well the Peabody was pretty good. I dont think the quality of the food was as good as the brunch at Gaylord Palms, or near the level of food and quality at the Renaissance.

Its held in the Italian Grill restaurant at Peabody............and they couldn't even do a good pizza...............they actually used Boboli crust (which I love) but I was expecting something more.

The main "hot" entrees are pre plated, and left to sit under "warming" lamps.....so need less to say...............most of my "hot" entrees were actually kind of cold.

I enjoyed it, but its not something Id probably go back to.

well that is a big disappointment.

when is the one at Renassiance going to be back up? did they say?

have you been there for Mother's day - it is really great!!!

Recommend La Coquina at the Hyatt Grand Cyprus Resort. $$$$ However, imho one of the best in Orlando and all the bubbles you can handle. :thumbsup2

They also have a Chef's Table Dinner like Victoria and Albert's. Haven't tried it yet, but have seen good reviews.

Sometime after the first of the year I think.

The only brunch that I've EVER had that could stand up to the Renaissance buffet is the brunch at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

When I tell people about the Renaissance brunch (and attempt to take them) they are always like...."yeah yeah....it can't be that great, or worth that price" and always always always...............they are extremely impressed and satisfied.

P.S. -- the Peabody was slightly more expensive than the Renaissance as well.
