Brunch and DP input (?)

Hi all.

We are just working out the details in our menus for brunch and DP. So, I figured it couldn't hurt to post them and see what you all think. Mainly we are concerned with whether they both seem complete. Is there anything that you think is missing? How do you feel about salmon in an omelet (not my thing..but if it's yummy we could keep it)??

Brunch ($57 per guest)

Fresh Seasonal Slice Fruit served with Yogurt Dip

Ceasar Salad ( Lettuce Parmesean, croutons, dressing)

Egg & Omelets made to order (ACTION STATION!) : including salmon, cheddar cheese, ham, peppers, onion, mushrooms, spinach, salsa, and egg substitute.

Mickey Waffles

Crepes prepared to order (ACTION STATION!) to include: Wild Berry & Grand Marnier cream cheese, served with vanilla bean sauce and mandarin oranges. (not sold on mandarin oranges...alternatives?)

Seared Chicken Breast with Granny Smith Apples, roasted fennel, and fig jus

Mickey-roni & Cheese

Hardwood Smoked Bacon
Maple-glazed pork sausage links

assorted danish, croissants, rolls butter and jellies

coffee, tea, juice


DP ($24++ per guest)

Assorted cookies
Assorted brownies
Chocolate dipped mickey mouse rice krispie treats
key lime tarts
chocolate dipped strawberries
juice, coffee, tea

All reads fine to me - and there is lots of food!

Yes, if you're looking to save money, you could easily trim an item or two from both menus and still have plenty to serve guests (for example, you may not need waffles AND crepes or omelettes AND chicken breast).

And I think salmon in an omelette is delicious, especially if there's cream cheese in there too!

Can I ask where you got this menu? Did you just pick and choose some stuff you like or is there a a la carte menu somewhere?

We went through all the menus and checked off things we liked. We were torn on the crepes AND waffles, so we kept both. I didn't realize that the kids would get plated meals at a lower price, so we put in a bunch of kids stuff (waffles, mickey-roni). If we take out the Mickey-roni, we need another pasta dish in there.

For the brunch we were trying to have a decent balance of breakfast and lunch. Not sure that we've done that. I LOVE breakfast..and that is a bit reflected in the menu I think.



We did the same things for the DP. I just made a list of things we wanted and listed them off during the planning session. I had no idea what it was going to cost.
