Did you know a bruised tailbone hurts incredibly? AND that it can take months to heal?

ARGH! That thing we thought was a tumor on my tailbone last month, is just a bruise. It hurts so bad, I can't sit in some positions, thank god for a donut pillow!
Anyone ever done this? Or bruised a bone?

I think mine might be bruised, it hurts so bad!

My sister actually broke hers awhile back. She fell down the stairs and had to sit on that donut pillow for a LONG time.

I hope you feel better soon!

My tailbone has so much cushion on it that I doubt it could ever be bruised. Sonya, I hope yours heals up very quickly.

Mine doesn't get bruised, but it does get sore from the way I sit.
Makes it quite uncomfortable to walk sometmes.

I did that in soccer, but it only took 10 days for it to feel better.

I've never bruised it, but I have hurt it before. It's a horrible and painful injury!
I hope it feels better soon!!

Can I steal your cushion? I'm *thisclose* to waddling around with pillows ductaped around my rear end. :rotfl:

I think I have about 7 years ago (when I was in 5th grade).

I just remember it being incredibly painful to sit. I never went to the doctor, but I should have. It hurt for a good 4-6 months. I remember sitting down VERY carefully, wincing until the pain went away, then not moving until I had to get up. It was horrible.

My cousin did that during baseball. I think he went in for a slide, but landed wrong or something. It was a long time ago, but I remember seeing him after it happened and he was miserable. I felt so bad for him.

I hope you feel better quickly!

I fell of my horse 5years ago and landed on my tailbone.
Stil hurts to this very day:goodvibes

Yep, I know how you feel.

Bruised my tailbone a couple of years ago when I was learning to rollerblade :lmao: .

On one particular bike crash I bruised a bone and got about five HUGE and bloody scrapes -owww-.

The bike got so -to borrow a word- jacked up from the crash it wouldn't go straight anymore :p.

I can also understand the sore from sitting tailbone thing.

I hope you feel better soon! I can't imagine anything more uncomfortable....

Ouchy, I've never bruised my tailbone but that's because I have so much cushion there, it's almost impossible to bruise it. lol

My friend bruised hers in 8th grade, so she had to use a donut pillow all the time. She could hardly walk because it hurt her so bad.

Poor Sonya, I hope you feel better.

I bruised my back the other day, because I fell down the stairs. lol

And I bruised my knee from hitting it on a metal bleacher Sunday. hahahah

oooo that's gotta hurt!! I have never done it though and I don't think I would want to.:scared:

i'm a walking accident. ive had bruised ribs before. i honestly think ive had cracked ones too, but theres just nothing you can do for that. i've bruised my elbow a thousand times. my knee caps too. currently two of my toes are broken. one from rock climbing, and one from an accident where i was running errands for the band. i'm not sure i have any bruised bones at this point, but i probably will soon if i don't now. haha.

oh, in 8th grade i bruised my tailbone trying to look REALLY cool for this guy. i was tryign to skateboard. i dropped into a quarter, and i fell right smack down on my butt. yeah. i looked cool.

Nice Shelby.

The thing is, I don't know how I did it? I haven't fallen down, I'm clueless. The only things that come to mind are -
1) I'm a vicious sleeper. I've woken up in the middle of the night with bruises and cuts.
2) Disneyland. It started after my trip and I know those seats were really hard and hurt my rear.

Ouchie sonya!

I do know what its like to STILL feel pain in an area long after.

I buckle-fractured my wrist a few years ago, and i find it still huring at some times.

For those who dont know, a buckle fracture, is when the 2 connecting bones to your wrist, kinda jam..together and fractures a bone *or more*.

I was SQUEALING like a baby, and my music teacher *who i rather dislike* would never leave me alone about it "I thought it was a kindergartener" and of course im like "Oh haha, yeah i was screaming pretty hard" but it HURT, and i dont think she could ever understand that, unless something like that happened to her.
