BRP cancellation advice

Hi,

I may need to cancel a BRP that is about 74 days from now. The BRP is for two nights only at a mod. I have paid a one-night deposit. I have some questions:

1. Will Disney keep my one night deposit if I cancel within the next 7 days? When I check my reservation, there is no mention that the deposit is non-refundable, but I remember this was the original policy during the "120 day out booking" BRP days, if this is making any sense.

2. Weird question... If they are going to keep my deposit, is there a way to change my reservation to a value instead of a mod so they are not keeping as much money? ;) Or will they charge me a $50 changing fee, even if it is 74 days away?

Any helpful advice appreciated. We may end up cancelling the two nights all together or we may cancel the two nights and end up booking about 5 nights. This is all pending on a situation that I will know more about in the next week.

Thanks,
Tink

The deposit is non-refundable. However you are able to make changes, my understanding is that if the cost of the room is less than your original reservation then you are charged the $50 fee. You should call CRO during the timeframe of 2:00pm to 4:00pm EST and they should be able to help you.

Does anyone know if they will let me simply "postpone" my trip? (change my dates) My mom told me she is having surgery after I booked for March with BRP. I may need to reschedule our trip if she needs me that same week. I will certainly be going to WDW within another few months, so I wondered if they would let me change the dates on my trip without losing the nights deposit. I would gladly pay the $50 change fee, but the room would be the same room (I'm a Poly addict). Losing $50 would be much easier to take than one night LVC rate! LOL

Hmmm, now that BRP has changed since my original post, I am wondering if I can now cancel my BRP reservation without paying the one-night-stay penalty... anyone know?

I would love to check all this out myself online, but I have not been able to access the AP site for a month now, since they changed the log in page, but that's a whole other problem I won't get into here.

Thanks for any help,
Tink
