Day2 Saturday Nov 9th

Okay, it is a Saturday and MK is the plan!

I was up very early (4:30, I think). Our original plan was to get to MK at opening, but I had made a PS for 8am for Tony's and I felt that we really need to use it, so......

I went into the kids' room and woke them up around 6am (I was already dressed). I asked them how soon could they be ready because we had a surprise for them... breakfast with the Pooh characters!

They were very excited and got up and started to get ready. We had wake up calls from Mickey in both rooms at 6:30- my son just loves getting the call from Mickey!

We got to the bus stop just before 7am. there were two other families there. One was also going to the Pooh breakfast and another was just trying to get to the park early. The line for the MGM bus was already substantial (for Super Soap). A few minutes later we were on our way to the MK! We arrived there before 7:30 am and went to check in for breakfast. Mike, Marcus, and Melanie stood at the turnstile (first, as usual), while Joeya dn I waites at Guest services . We had to eexchange his voucher. No problem! Everything was taken care of in a few minutes. They went through at about 8am and I went to rent the stroller.
I got to the restaurant and they had already checked in. In a few minutes they started anouncing families-we were first!
The breakfast was great- cinnamon rolls, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, french toast with berries and cream! All th characters came around several times. We were done by 8:45 adn walking up Main Strett- ALONE! This was sooo magical ! The kids loved it! Melanie and I headed straight to tomorrowland, because I had promised her that I would get her to space mountain early. Well, we were the first ones there and the CM's gave her a certificate stating that she was the first rider on space mountain! We had to wait at the rope and the crowds were now lining up for rope drop. The CM's then let our party through and escorted us to Space Mountain and Joey, Mike, and Marcus to Buzz Lightyear. Mealnie and I rode in the first tow seats! What a blast! After that we headed to Pooh. We had about a five minute wait, then on to Peter Pan- another five minute wait. We decided to do the Haunted Mansion next. No wait. Just as we were entering, the others called us on the two way radios adn said to wait for them- no way! Well, we got into the stretch room and there they were!
We stayed together for the remainder of the trip. Next on to Fronteirland. It was 10am and there was a 5minute wait at Splash and 10 minute at thuner. We got fastpasses for thunder and rode splash. This worked out perfectly. We did one, then the other right after. time for a break at Tom Sawyer's! Had fun there, but Aunt Polly's wasn't open yet! We decided to get fastpasses for Jungle Cruise and get some DoleWhips while we waited. This worked out perfectly. then, Joey, Melanie and I went on Pirates (about a 5-10 minute wait). Mike and Marcus waited for us and they saw Mike's friend from work with his family. After Pirates we all went to the Hall of Presidents. We only had to wait a few mintues for the next show to start. This was such a great show. Even Marcus loved it! It was 1pm and time to head out for a break. It was started to get very crowded! Stopped for fudge at the candy store and waited about 10 minutes for the bus .

When we got back to the resort, we changed into swimsuits and went to the food court or some lunch. The pool was not at all crowded and we spent some time swimming and then relaxing in our rooms.

Next- off to Epcot and the Garden Grill!

for our trip........sounds like you had an awesome time and did alot in the morning hours before you went to your resort.......thanks so much for writing it all down.....

We did get a lot done. The kids had so much fun! this was their first onsite stay . they are used to (with parents and other family) staying offsite, getting up and going to eat breakfast and then getting to the parks whenever... this has resulted in my niece missing space mountain due to her parents saying that the line was too long. Now she says she will ONLY go to WDW with me!

What a great trip for your niece and nephew! I think it is fantastic that all the age groups can enjoy all the same things - that is what WDW is about!
