I'd like to have dinner there when we go in September. Do they take 2 table service credits per person or just one?

It is two credits per person. DH and I went in 2003 and did not think it was worth it (bad service, mediocre food). We've not been back because we've not wanted to use four credits.

Thanks everyone!!!!!! I don't want to use 2 TS credits for one meal. would we be silly to pay out of pocket?

Brown Derby is my favorite place so far. I think the atmosphere is just really cool. I tend to agree that 2 TS credits is a lot though. I normally go for lunch which is a little cheaper and pay out of pocket. Just an idea if you are not set on dinner.

The cobb salad is out of this world and definitely try the grapefruit cake for dessert. It's excellent.

I really like Brown Derby, but have a hard time justifying two credits for this one. Personally, I think its a great place to go to, pay OOP at lunch for a cobb salad (can be split its huge) and some grapefruit cake. Those are my two favorite things on the menu! I love the atmosphere but to me, its not a two ts place. If I am going to burn that many credits, I prefer Yachtsmen or California Grill. But I do enjoy it very much. Alhtough my first experience there was horrible, Kathy maybe we were there on the same day!

thanks again! I talked to everyone in our group and we're going to pay OOP for this meal. I really want that grapefruit cake and cobb salad, i've heard so many great things about them both!

We went in 2006 for my DH's birthday and I thought it was good....but I never was strict w/the dinning plan or wanted to get the best value, I got it every time because I like knowing my meals were paid for in advance and I didn't have to care/carry cash/credit cards, so I cannot judge if it was "worth" two credits. In June, we are using quick service because it annoyed the family to have to stop and eat these big meals when we were there to have fun and besides, we live in Chicago and have world-class places here, so WDW places never measured up for us. That said, we really enjoyed Brown Derby. The atmosphere was nice and we had very good service. The Cobb salad is tasty, but for those of us who live in Chicago or LA, its like the chopped salad at Portillos. Which is a GOOD thing! I didn't have the grapefruit cake there, but the waiter gave me a card with the recipe on it (also a card with the cobb salad recipe) and I've made it several times and it is really good. I agree with the posters who say go for lunch and pay OOP, if the use of 2 credits bothers you. I have to say, it is magical at night...the trees outside are covered in twinkly lights and they play this cool, old music. I caught it on video and it is amazing.
Price-wise, it is on par with Le Cellier, which is one credit, so I am not sure why it is 2....

Could be. I remember it was 1 in the afternoon and only five tables were occupied. Our server was downright rude and I sent my food back twice. DH hated the grapefruit cake too...and believe me DH LOVES dessert.

It is 2 TS credits. It is nice and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I don't know if I would spend 2 credits on it, but there is another option. If you don't mind eating an early dinner then look into the Brown Derby Fantasmic dinner package. It is a fixed price meal and the prices are actually a discount when compared to ordering ala carte, plus you get the Fantasmic seating.
