And are reservations needed for the lounge?

The Lounge is outside of the restaurant in a covered patio. They do not take ADR's, it is first come first served. I have read that you can order from the main menu

this past june on our vacation we were NOT allowed to order from the main menu. were told the policy was changed right before summer.

1) You can only order from the bar menu.
2) The kitchen is not setup to serve that many meals (when the restaurant and bar are added together).
3) If you want crab cakes, go inside.
4) And, there are no ADR's for the outside lounge/bar area - stand in line and first-come-first-seated.

If you haven't already, and really want to eat at the lounge, I would try the sliders. They are excellent. The duck confit is my favorite. Personally, I believe this to be one of the better food options in HS. The BD full menu has never made us actually want to try the BD. We've never really had an issue (even during really busy times) happening upon a table. Plus, they have Unibroue by La Fin du Monde. I think it's one of the best beers on property. I'm always on the lookout for a good beer on property.

I'm wondering if they could do a vegetarian version of the crispy bites or have some other vegetarian option on the lounge's small plate menu. Otherwise we may have to change our plans.
