We have this booked when we go in October but I have a few questions.

Are there any restrictions on what you can order from the menu?
Can you order a starter Cobb salad for 1 person or must it be shared between 2?
Is Grat included in the quoted total price?
Is Grat automatically added later?

We did the Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic package in February. I ordered the Cobb salad for just me (fantastic by the way!), DH ordered something else for an appetizer. You can order anything off the menu, it's not a different menu for the package. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert per person. Tip wasn't included (we added it in with the final bill) but we tipped nicely since our server was so great! She was from Morocco and really personable and attentive. We asked her all sorts of questions about her country and she took the time to patiently answer them. It was a great dining experience for us, and we had 3 little girls too! I'd do it again in a heartbeat, food was delicious! :goodvibes

I have to agree with the PP, we did the Brown Derby Fantasmic Package last December and it worked out wonderfully. In fact, we'll be doing it again when we bring my parents this November!

Order whatever you like from the menu -- one app, entree, and dessert per person -- and expect some really great food and service. :)

Thanks! I know I want the cobb salad but I was worried they wouldn't let me order it on my own. Think my Boyfriend wants the crab cakes so nice to know.

Glad they dont restrict you either. Means I can have the steak!

Oh does the meal include a soft drink or not?

Sounds like a great meal. Was this on the dining plan or OOP? Thanks.

We paid OOP for it since at the time, I really didn't understand exactly how the dining plan worked! It was a very last minute trip and the first time we'd gone with our little girls. We are going back in November and will be on the deluxe dining plan. We love table service meals for all 3 meals of the day so it makes sense to do the deluxe. Plus my girls are snackers too so the 2 snacks per day works perfectly! I can't remember exactly how much the Hollywood Brown Derby meal was but it sure wasn't cheap! We were a party of 5 and I think it was close to $200 after tip and everything! :goodvibes

Great question and responses, we are considering this for our next trip

Thanks for the response.:thumbsup2 It's 2 credits on the DDP, but it sounds worth it.

It wasn't clear to me from the PP that you could order the Cobb Salad as an appetizer and get an entree. :confused3 It kind of sounded like that's what she ordered for her entree - which technically would not be a good value under the Fantasmic Dinner Package - but of course if that's what she wanted. :cutie: The menu indicates the dinner Cobb Salad is an appetizer for two. Can anyone confirm either way???? :)

When we ate here in February, I ordered the Cobb salad for myself as an appetizer. My DH ordered a different appetizer and then we both had seperate entrees and desserts too. I know it says on the menu the Cobb salad is for 2 but I was able to order for just me. By the way, it is enormous!! Delicious though!! They mix it all up in such an elegant way with tiny spoons at your table. Really, it was melt in your mouth salad! I know that sounds strange but it was! :goodvibes

Thank you for clarifying. That Cobb salad sounds, as my sister-in-law would say, deelish. :thumbsup2

In April we did BD on Delux DP. Sorry, but the meal was not good at all - definitely not worth 2 credits. Never Again!!!! Cobb Salad was appy for 2 (DH hated it, but it was very good in my opinion, the only part of the meal I liked).... Our server was less than attentive. The steak was tough and had no special flavor. We did not enjoy our experience, and if we had paid OOP, well, let's just say we would have been more than a little aggravated. The meal wasn't even as good as the suggested tip!!

Thanks for the clarification on the Cobb Salad and for the opinion on the meal. I think its a bit hit and miss at any restaurant but does anyone else have any bad experiences there? I love Cobb Salad but would rather have a good meal elsewhere if they are having a lot of off days.

I did the fantasmic package 2 weeks ago and everything was awsome! well, almost. I was with 12 other people and our adr was for 3:30 and 6 of them had ate a big lunch around noon. I had the cobb salad and didn't think much of it, but my friend loved it. my wife and I ordered the steak and that was great. for dessert I ordered the chocolate cake, banana dessert(forget the name), and the cheescake. some other people were too full for dessert, so I was more than happy to try more than one. they were all great! walking right in the back door to the fantasmic show was great as well.

We did the Fantasmic Dinner package at Brown Derby last month and the Cobb Salad was an app. for 2. I ordered crab cakes and my dad and BIL ate it in addition to theirs - my sister and mom split the Cobb. My steak was good as was the chocolate cake dessert. We were more than a bit disappointed when we arrived for Fantasmic - we were told not to arrive later than 7:45 by our server as they let the main queue in around 7:45-8 for the 8:30 show. We arrived at 7:30 and the stadium was already filled. We've done the dinner before but seeing this last time as we still waited an hour and had less than great seats, we may skip it next time and just wait in line.

Do you mean that they open up the section they use for the Fantasmic Dinner Package to the public at 7.45?

That doesn't sound right. We arrived 25 mintues before Fantasmic with the Fantasmic dining package and walked in a seperate entrance. That entrance takes you around behind the seats and you come out on the right side of the theater. There is a rope that sections off the area for only the Fantasmic dining package people. As I said, we got there 25 minutes before the show started and there were tons of seats left in the Fantasmic package section. Weird. :confused3

Yes, we walked in the seperate entrance but when we arrived in the theater we saw that the roped off section for Fantasmic was being filled by both dinner pckg and non dinner pkg guests - the non pkg guest sections were already close to being filled at that time.

Yea, when we were there on the package we got there about 20 minutes, if that, before the show.......we had to RUN to the place.......and then when we got there they were seating non package guests in that area because the regular seating was full.
