2027 - 14-Night Westbound Panama Canal Cruise from Galveston ending in San Diego

Calling all 2027 westbound Panama canal cruisers. I know you are out there because there was a lot of disboard chatter during early booking windows.

Lets get to know each other.

But the shorter version is:

Three state rooms holding my extended family.

Room 1 - Me, currently 61, will be 62 on the trip. I recently retired after a nearly 40 year career as a program manager with the department of defense. I live in the Tampa Florida area, and this will be my 7th Disney cruise.

DM, will be 89 on the trip. A retired nurse who lives 2 hours south of me, between ft Myers and Naples fl. 4th Disney cruise. She uses a wheelchair/walker combo due to a heart condition affecting her endurance.

DGS, will be 6 on the trip. This sweet little guy loves his Gigi (great grandma), and always "helps" me push her wheelchair. He's on the autism spectrum, so avoiding overstimulation can be a challenge.

Room 2 - DS2, will be 34 on the trip. He's an active duty Navy sonarman assigned to submarines in Southern Georgia, and is the dad to the grandkids. Also 7th Disney cruise. We will have to watch the schedule as the trip gets closer because he will be assigned to a boat and deployment schedules could be a challenge.

DDIL will have a birthday onboard, turning 38. 4th cruise, and she runs the house and home schools the grandkids. These two worked the Disney college program together. She is a Disney expert and usually slays at trivia.

DGD will have just turned 11 before the cruise. She's full of energy and a true drama queen. During our European cruise she realized that she'll be too old for oceaneers during this cruise and she was crushed! She loves mythology and reading, isn't a big fan of math, and is a total night owl. You'll find her closing down the kids programming.

Room 3- DS1, also with a birthday just before the trip, making him 35 onboard. He went to Savannah college of art and design for sequential design which is basically either storyboarding or comics. He does some freelance work but is primarily a house husband. They live in southeast Utah between Zion National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

DS1S, also 35. They are a certified vet tech, which is like a nurse practitioner for animals. Given their location they do pets plus farm animals so there's interesting dinner conversations! These two prefer kids in small doses, so we usually get two room close together and their room in a different part of the ship. We do dinner and sometimes shows or excursions together.
