Brown Derby entree recommendations

i don't know if its still on the menu, but i had this curried tofu thing and it was pretty good. i think it was like a curried lo mein. i would probably get it again.

When we were there in December, I had the filet mignon with dijon crushed potatoes, and DH (SkipperBubba pirate: ) had the roasted pork tenderloin with the smoked cheese tomato fondue.
All I can say is, "sigh"... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:
It was exceptional food and service, as we've come to expect from the fine folks at the Derby.
Bon appetit,

Been awhile, but that pork entree they had was always good. And the Cobb salad is a must.

I loved the filet. The appetizer crab cake was great and DH loves the Cobb salad. Of course I can never leave the Brown Derby without a slice of grapefruit cake.

I love the cobb salad--love it, love it, love it!

Yes it is "park attire" and worse, LOL.

The filet is excellent as is the pork entree. We have eaten there during every trip and never had a bad meal. We always use the Brown Derby for our Fantasmic package.

I had a portobello mushroom ravioli as an appetizer with the grouper for my entree and it was delicious! I've also had the filet mignon there and it was quite good. My son thought the rotisserie chicken was good. The grapefruit cake is different and I was glad I ordered it. I don't know if I would want to eat it all the time but I really liked it as a change from the ordinary.

Years ago I had the oyster brie soup they had on the menu at the time. It was to die for!! I haven't seen it on the menu during our last few trips though.

Cobb Salad has finely chopped greens (iceburg, watercress, chicory, romaine), as well as finely chopped tomatoes, turkey breast, hard cooked eggs, blue cheese, bacon, chives and avocado

From http://www.thefoodmaven.com/radiorecipes/cobb_salad.html here are the ingredients:

1/2 head lettuce, about 4 cups

1 bunch watercress

1 small bunch chicory, about 2 1/2 cups

1/2 head romaine, about 2 1/2 cups

2 medium peeled tomatoes

6 strips of crisp bacon

2 breasts of boiled chicken

3 hard cooked eggs

1 avocado

1/2 cup crumbled Roquefort cheese

2 tablespoons chopped chives

1 cup (approximately) Original Cobb Salad Dressing

Mmmmm....my favorite entree ever in my life was on our last trip to BD. I had the pork tenderloin and I haven't had anything to beat it anywhere. Delicious!

I had teh filet, that was very good and OH had the tuna, and also said that was very good.

I definitely recommend the tuna.

The last time I was there I had the filet mignon and was disappointed. It was overcooked.
