Brown Derby, CRT & Coral Reef cited for violations!

They were cited for containing Certain foods at unsafe temps. But all in all, 8 complaints were filed by visitors! As the spokewoman for Disney stated, "That is not a bad record". It won't stop me from sampling restaurants around the "WORLD".

My husband went to culinary school and has worked in the restaurant business. He says that most restaurants can have violations at one time or another.

I think that with the millions of people Disney feeds every day they do what they do very, very well.

I agree! These violations could happen anywhere!...and they just said a few of the foods were stored at improper temps. Heck, sometimes I store food in my fridge at improper temps!

I worked in a place and we were fined for not having a certain type of thermometer in a freezer.

Had nothing to do with food handling

That reporter really stretched to get a story to bash WDW.

I think a record of 8 reported illnesses in a year within 70+ eating establishments serving millions of guests is very low and not worthy of a big news story that was attempted. Only a few violations for food "nearly at dangerous temperatures" (not an exact quote) were found and it's not as if WDW was dirty and improperly handled food. If all of the violations were found on a buffet table, I would not be surprised.

I've seen worse reports on restaurants that were filthy, infested with rodents or insects and improperly handled food.
