brown and pink?

hello everyone- This is my first post on this board, but i have been reading it since my engagement last december. I am trying to choose wedding colors. My wedding will be in october on cape cod, and i really like the light pink/ chocolate brown combination. My concern is how this will look with the black tuxes? Has anyone seen brown as a wedding color before? did it look terrible? any pictures? Thanks so much for any help you can give!!

I don't have any advice to give, but I must say I love the brown/light pink combination. It's so classic looking.

I hadn't thought about the tux issue with brown and pink before. I hope you get your decision worked out.

My brother was just in a wedding that used brown and blue - they had brown vests/ties and black tuxedos - he looks great is brown - I would think that would be great and use pink flowers. Many bridesmaid companies are doing 2 color gowns now and pink and brown are popular, they are pretty together! In fact, a friend who I worked with at the bridal shop - she was the mgr - her daughter got married last summer and used that combo- it was very pretty.

One of my friends has a wedding next week with brown/pink color combo! I think that brown has become a very popular color, and even at my wedding with fall colors I've included brown. Don't worry about incorporating black suits with brown. The black suits look great with a touch of the pink or brown in the tie or the vest. I love your color choices!

My cousins BM's wore brown dresses with pink shawls. They looked great and it looked very nice with the black tux's.

Interesting you brought this up...my friend and I were walking in a local park this past Saturday and we saw the most unique wedding party taking pictures. The bride was wearing a chocolate brown wedding gown with an ivory sash (and was carrying an ivory boquet). Her bridesmaids were wearing ivory dresses with chocolate brown sashes. The groom and groomsmen were wearing black tuxes. The groom had a brown vest and tie with an ivory shirt. It did not look strange at all. I wish I had my camera with me to take some pictures. It was a beautiful combination. So I think your idea would work well!

My colors are chocolate brown and pink! The guys are wearing a classic black tux. I thought the brown vest combo go lost in the black. They are also wearing ivory shirts since my dress is ivory.

My girls are wearing a chocolate dress (strapless) with a pink cummerbund sash that loops in the back and lays against the dress.

Since the color combo is becomming pretty popular, it is easy to find things for the wedding in those colors. Good luck!
