Sounds like a great start! I want to go back to Universal someday, but we'll probably wait until Emily is a little bigger and can go on more rides, PLUS...I'm very excited for the Harry Potter land!! I'm a teacher and have always wanted to teach Muggle Studies at Hogwarts! If you've never read/seen Harry Potter then just ignore my last comment and consider me a lunatic!!

The WL is a beautiful resort! I've never stayed there, but don't really have a desire to because it's much like our cabin in Northern Michigan! Although our cabin is much smaller! Well, if I get to go at Christmas time, I'd probably stay at the WL! That seems like a good time to stay there!

Fun goodies! We finally got around to watching Pinocchio last weekend.

We went to Universal in '05 and it was OK. We'll probably go back when the Harry Potter stuff opens. Your first day plans look great, I like the part about checking into the WL...can't wait till that's us in August!

Oh yes, are you an American Idol fan too?

I love harry potter so I know exactly what you're talking about! Have you seen the new trailer? I'm really excited for the land also, they have come a long way with the construction and they themed the walls with proclamations from the ministry of magic! Quite awesome i'll be sure to post pictures! I could understand your aversion to the WL lol I guess thats truly something different for me maybe thats why I like it!

Haven't watched pinocchio yet! Universal is a totally different experience for me when staying on site. It was always fun but the first time i stayed there was completely different!

My friend charlie got talking to a cast member one trip he was there, and the CM said that disney (and the rest of the area) says its "The biggest thing to happen to Orlando in a LONG time" I'm happy that universal can get the attention it deserves but its going to be ridiculous to try and see that area for a while. I'm excited for it though! And you're right maybe it will calm the crowds down at WDW besides you know what they say about competition! Only good things can come from this

Happy Earth Day Everyone!!

Hope everyone is enjoying being outdoors today, no better time than now to look back on some of the wonderful photos WDW has provided for us with their foilage!! How about this view from the WL?? This was a great room, maybe we'll get some pixie dust this time around??

So we are officially 16 days away!! Can you believe it?? I have a cool update to share coming up but for now lets take a look at our second day at WDW!!

This is our scheduled Epcot opening day. We'll fastpass Soarin at rope drop and than head over to test track and mission:space.

Mosey on over to the seas and possibly innoventions. Not sure if we'll get to the world showcase today. We'll hang on to those FP as long as we can because we all know how Soarin can get!!

It's break time mid day to check out the WL arcade with those 30 minute cards!! Maybe some pool time before heading out to Kona for dinner, one of our favorites!!

After dinner we are heading over to DHS EMH!! I have always had great success with low crowds here at night time and there is no Fantasmic showing. David can't wait to try Rock n Roller coaster, and i've always wanted to ride ToT at night!!! Will we even be able to touch TSM??

I can taste it we're so close!! Only 16 more days!! We got some pixie dusted SQUEE worthy mail too!! Another chapter on that coming soon!!​

So here is some more pixie dusted mail we got the other day!! CRUISE DOCUMENTS!!! These were very exciting because we have been waiting for them for a while! (I took these with my pocket camera so forgive the quality!)

Here is how everything came, how cute!

Inside was a document booklet with all the cruise info, and luggage tags!! Since they are taking DCL transportation to the port and back, it works like ME! Mom and dad are way excited for this! Here is the document booklet:

And the pixie dust that came our way?? MOM AND DAD WERE UPGRADED!!! We didn't even know! I had booked them a Category 12 which is considered a guarantee inside stateroom. It's the smallest of the small and you won't get your room number until you get there! But when we checked the documents, they had been upgraded to Category 10!! This is considered a "deluxe inside stateroom" which has the split bathroom and a much larger room!! Mom and dad may pay to upgrade to a category 9 (which is the same size but has a window) when they get to the port, but this is way exciting!!

Yes! They were so thrilled! I went on the DCL boards and apparently its almost guaranteed you will get upgraded from a Ctgy 12 if you book far enough out! Good to know for the future!

And decided to book it! I got us in the first night we are there at a perfect time (5:20) but not sure if i am going to keep the ADR or not. David doesn't have eclectic or adventurous taste buds so we may stick with Boma. Not sure if i want to make that decision before any reviews come after May 1st! (when it opens) take a peek for yourself!
