There are several tables in the back of the gift shop that is attached to Tony's. That's back where there's a movie room - where all those pictures were taken with the props. You'll have to check it out.

This is the house on the ornament that Luke dances too, and to hear it will be gone someday makes me sad. I sure hope Toontown is around in June!

I'd love to see a picture of the ornament.

I actually think I have seen that ornament before, so I'm not sure why I don't have one on my tree, too. I was probably thinking logically when I didn't buy it, thinking about money and all, and now I wish I had been thinking Disney logically!

I'm going to be recording the 'old' Toontown in pictures and video. This would have been a great year for a March trip to see what changes take place and how quickly. I bet things will be a lot different when we go again in July.

It was a great place to sit out of the heat, and we didn't have to stalk around for a Main Street Bakery table.

Yesterday was a productive day. I am satisfied with what I got accomplished as far as getting the house in order and in getting a lot of the way packed.


Continuing August 2nd:

Snacks finished and Bella fed, we made our way out onto the porch to see this.

You all know how Brooklynn loves to dance, so it took her about half a second to get her groove on!

You can really tell how into she was in these!

Now it was time for Brooklynn to make her own Mouse Ears hat.

Bella modeled a First Trip patch.

Then she modeled some pink ears.

She didn't know she was modeling either one. She was just hanging out, and Jill was sticking things on her.

Brooklynn chose a hat to work on. I told her to hold it up so I could see it, and this is what I got.

She was already eyeing all the patches she could choose from.

She picked out fireworks ears.

She had a great time looking at all the patches.

A special phone.

Pick it up sometime and listen.

She's still wearing a little of her cinnamon roll.

Where's Brooklynn? I can't find her anywhere!

A lot of cast members throughout the trip stopped to greet Bella. I guess they assumed it was her first trip.

I was thinking the same thing as I was posting them. She didn't have one thought of anyone watching her; she was just going with the flow! Or at least she was trying to.

Maybe Jill can take a picture of the finished ears. It doesn't seem that I got one. Silly me. I'll keep that in mind when Bella makes her first ears.

I was beginning to wonder if Bella ever got to meet Cinderella. I am glad that she did. I bet you are excited to see all the Christmas decorations. Apparently when I was little, I'd hide under something and leave my feet sticking out, assuming no one could see me. My cat does the same thing except she leaves her tail out, not her feet


Today was my last school day of 2009! I'm done until January 4! YAY VACATION!

Did you notice that the First Visit patch was almost as big as Bella's head! No, they definitely do not make them small enough for her head.

She did...finally. She wasn't all that impressed, however. Food was what she wanted at that time. Maybe next time she won't snub Cindy so much. I think the Princess understood.

It is truly a magical place at Christmas time. I will take tons of pictures so that we can all enjoy them throughout the cold, boring winter.

About an hour later, we were back at Wilderness Lodge.
Someone was eating flatbread.

I truly don't remember who belonged to what or what belonged to who, but somebody (bodies, that is) consumed food.

Here are a couple of pictures from Jill's camera as Brooklynn was choosing her ears hat earlier.

Back to the story.

Jill and I had gone back to Pop Century to get all the rest of their bags transferred over to Wilderness Lodge. I had gotten two rooms at Wilderness Lodge. Jill and her family were going to stay both nights in one room, Drew and I were staying the first night in the other room, and Trent and Jarvis were taking the last night in that room. That way everyone got to stay at WL but I didn't have to pay for three rooms. It was easier just to keep both rooms at Pop, since they weren't that much, and it gave the two people who were staying back at Pop plenty of room to have their own spaces now. Maybe a little confusing to hear about, but easy for us to do it that way.

We had to have our luggage transferred over to Wilderness Lodge, though, because Magical Express would be picking us up there the next day. (I just talked to Jill and she refreshed my memory. Pop paid for the cab to take us and our luggage to WL because they said they were through transferring for the day.) Trent, Drew, and Jarvis were driving back, so they were able to take some of my stuff, which was nice.

SO, back to Wilderness Lodge we go.

We hadn't driven up this way when we first came, since we had come by boat, so this was nice.

When we got back, Jill asked if I wanted to go over to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I did.

We got on a bus for Animal Kingdom. (As I started looking at pictures, I realized this is when I went to AKL alone, so change that to 'I' got on a bus.

I can't remember, but I think the driver took us (me) on over to AKL without transferring. I know that has happened, but honest to goodness, some of trip memories run together.



I love Animal Kingdom stuff!

I am trying to wrap this one up before Friday night, so I am cutting it close! We want to start the new one as we leave so we can post live a little bit.

That's cool that Emily is having some Daddy time. I can't picture John taking Brooklynn to a ballgame.

You guys have a great Christmas, too! I know you will with those three beautiful children. I can't wait to see what they get for Christmas, so be sure to come and share pictures, even if we are already gone.

During our brief night visit to AKL I did not go in the giftshop... next time I guess! You are just updating away....love it.

Now I recall that I was alone going to AKL. I remember Jill saying something about it, but I guess she asked if I wanted to go on over there, and I did. Sorry for all the mix-ups.

I met a nice young man named Jason who struck up a pleasant conversation, as I was the only one touring the area at the time. He talked about how much he loved working for Disney World. I told him about why I take pictures - to share with my Dis friends. He thought that was very cool.

I really, really, really want to be sitting in that jeep taking this tour someday!

Back inside.

One day, I will stay here. It's not going to be this summer, but maybe next summer.

I am still going to try to talk the family into eating here this summer, though, as a consolation prize.
