Brooklynn takes Bella to see Cinderella. Last thread.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Memom, Jill and the whole Family. Have a great trip to WDW and say hi to "nemo" for me. :santa:

That feeling of the "last night" is still so fresh in my mind that as I was reading just now I got really sad for you. Just a few more days and you'll be back, though!

I feel the same way when I read other reports. There is a sadness that we all know so well as the trip draws to a close.

We will be back in the thick of the biggest crowds of the year very soon! :goodvibes

Ah, yes, Brooklyn who now blames us for things.

Your last walk around Epcot...:(. Thank goodness you will be there in just a couple of days with a knee that feels so much better!

Spending time on the beach with your beautiful family sounds like the perfect way to spend your last night!!! :goodvibes

If things get crazy between now and Saturday...

Merry Christmas and Happy Travels!!! :santa:

It was nice sitting out on the beach chairs just relaxing. Since we've already done our family Christmas stuff, I'll be putting up pictures of the EWP and Wishes tonight. The boys will be out with friends, and it'll just be me and the cat, so I'll work on finishing out this report and Jill can go ahead and start the Christmas trip report on Christmas Day! :cool1:

Thanks for the good wishes.

Memom and family...if i don't get on here again...have a verry merry christmas!!

My brother and SIL found out yesterday that they are having a little girl...so I'm afraid all the cute little girl things you have posted pictures of we are going to have to go look at! LOL! My mom said she doesn;t think she is going to be able to retire soon because of all the girl stuff she wants to buy (1st girl grandchild)

You, too! That's very exciting about adding a little girl to the family. There are so many cute clothes for little girls. She better keep that job for a while!

Enjoyed the walk around AKL. I still haven't visited there, maybe the next trip...whenever that may be. I'm saving my pennies in my Disney jar.

I cracked up when I read Jill's facebook post. So funny! :rotfl:

Wishing you Merry Christmas and safe travels!

Yeah, the kids would enjoy seeing the animals over there. Keep those pennies coming!

Brooklynn is slightly crazy, but she comes by it honestly.

MeMom, I was scrolling through your early morning pictures of WL. I glanced up and looked out the window and for a moment was startled by the snow outside. I must have truly felt like I was among the beautiful architcture and palm trees! Thanks for taking me away if only for a few moments.

I'm glad I could take you away from the cold for a few minutes. I know you'll be busy with Christmas tonight, but whenever you make it back, you can sit out on the beach and watch the EWP with us. ;) Those pictures will go up later on this evening.

I'm sorry to hear your knee was hurting at Epcot. Hopefully, it will be better this trip.
The last night it always so sad.
Spending family time at the WL sounds nice.

There are a few sets of pictures that when I put them up, I vividly recall the pain.

After hanging out with the family, I had to make my way back to Pop, since I was staying there and Trent and Jarvis were taking over at WL. I don't know how long they hung out after I left, but I'm glad everyone had that time to just relax.

Merry Christmas MeMom & Family! :santa:

Same to you guys! I don't think I ever said how much I loved your tree, but I do. :)

So sad it's your last night. But you'll be back there soon!!! :yay: The picture of "the ball" and the nature pics are awesome! Ahhhh...Brooklynn....the one who ratted us out about the TP. I TOLD ya'll the cinnamon bun wasn't big enough!

Jill took the bunny picture. You can see the veins in his ears. That's an awesome picture!

We are getting aggressive on the packing today, so it is almost here! :dance3:

Aw the last night.. :sad1:

Wow, the wait time for TT was longer than Soarin'!

I need to try that bread!

It is fun just to kick back and relax at the Resort awhile. Looks like you guys had fun on the beach too.

I don't have Facebook so I don't get to hear the story.

I noticed that, too. Usually Soarin' has the longest wait of anything.

The schoolbread is good, if you like the creamy stuff in the middle and coconut. Some people don't like the cream filling, but I do. I couldn't eat the whole thing, because it was huge, but I put a very large dent in it. ;)

I hope she gets it on somehow. Brooklynn's dancing is hilarious.

That's too cute and funny!!
Jill and Memom- Hope you have a wonderful, magical christmas and safe travels.

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope the travel is better than when we were driving back last Thanksgiving. It was bumper to bumper for miles, and we were hours later getting home than we had planned. At least we have some buffer time this time. On that trip, we got in about 2 in the morning and I had to leave AL around 4 to drive back to Nashville to go to school. I was a zombie!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Memom, Jill and the whole Family. Have a great trip to WDW and say hi to "nemo" for me.

To you guys, too. I will call you or just write on here when we get possession of the refrigerator.

We will see Nemo, for sure, and we will tell him you said hello.

Jill, if you have a Santa hat, put it with the purse and the airbed. If I don't write it while I'm thinking of it, I'll forget. :goodvibes

For all of you who don't have facebook this is the story from Tuesday night.

Brooklynn had called John into the bathroom because there was a bug he needed to kill.

I overheard John ask Brooklynn why there was so much tissue in the potty. A few minutes later she comes to my bedroom and tells me "Someone put too much tissue in your potty mommy. I didn't do it."
"Who did it then?"
"Probably one of your Disfriends."

So fess up guys! Which one of you came and put half a roll of tissue in the potty?

:rotfl: That's adorable!

IMG_2728.jpg

Awwww! Such a cute bunny!!!!! We see a lot of those hopping around the neighborhood during the summer.

In case I don't get on the computer tomorrow...MERRY CHRISTMAS! :santa:

I think my cat is trying to knock the tree over... We finally put it up a few days ago. We're very behind this year :confused3 We put the lights and ornaments on last night which excited the cats and the dog. One of my cats always runs around under the tree and sometimes tries to climb it :rotfl: Fortunately she's never knocked it over.

And in case I don't talk to you before you leave...Have a fun, safe, magical trip! Say hi to Mickey for me!

Jill, MeMom and family have a very Merry Christmas and a safe, magical trip!

I have the big suitcase in the back room and have been throwing things in it, but it's just a pile in a suitcase at this point. I'll deal with packing tomorrow night.

We're driving this time. There were no good flight prices.

Too bad you can't be at the tree, but 'Ohana is much better. Are you coming to the NYE meet at Poly?

Yes, bring back good pictures of Boma for me to show my family. :)
The Tables in Wonderland card is a blessing! ::yes::

I didn't know ya'll were driving this time. I must have missed that post. I try to keep up with all the posts, but in the last thread I missed alot of pages.
Anyway, how long of a drive is it for you? It's about 10 hours for us (depending on traffic, road work, etc) I really like to fly better....but these days flying is getting to be hard work between luggage restrictions and fewer flights, etc ......not to mention the $$$$ of flights. Sometimes SW has good deals and they are nonstop but they are 2 hours from where I live. We only have US Air and Delta where I live and they aren't non stop. I'm rambling....:rotfl:
On NYE, we are planning on going to Epcot, but if we change our minds I will come over to the Poly beach. How many Diser's are going to be there? Did you post your itin ? Maybe I will see you guys in the parks.
I have facebook, any chance I could see the video?

We sure hope to. :santa:

MeMom,

Not sure which way you travel but I just found this about I-75
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2351508

Have a Merry Christmas and a safe trip. I plan on being on the beach NYE. I will find the LGMH to say Hi and Happy New Year.

I checked it out, and supposedly everything is running normally again. We'll hope for the best.

We'll see you on NYE! :cool1:

******************************

I talked to this little girl earlier this evening.

IMG_2740.jpg

She was excited about the presents she had opened. She was 'showing' me things over the phone. She's a mess!

On this evening before Christmas, we invite you to step out of the snow or wind or rain or whatever forces of nature are troubling your area tonight, and grab a beach chair as we sit on a warm Wilderness Lodge beach and watch the Electric Water Pageant.

Miss Anita Wigd, as Brooklynn calls her, was so nice to share her light-up fun with Brooklynn.

IMG_0703.jpg

She really loved them.

With that, it was time for me to say good night to everyone and make my way back to Magic Kingdom to catch the bus to Pop. Drew was making the best of his last night by riding various roller coasters multiple times, and I figured he would be out until the wee hours of the morning, so I was going it alone.

As the boat approached Magic Kingdom, this is what I saw.

As I went back toward the room, I ran into 5boyz at the Hippy Dippy Pool. She had just been to our room to leave a note for us. I was sorry to tell her that the girls were already over at Wilderness Lodge. I was glad to get to see her, but I had luggage service headed up to the room to get the last of our bags, and I had told them five minutes, so I had to run on and meet them.

When I got to the room, I found her note.

IMG_0752.jpg

We've been there twice at the same time as her family, so maybe we'll be there at the same time again this summer.

I think at this time I realized I had not gotten a cheesecake, and I could not be at Pop without having one.

IMG_0755.jpg

It was dry, best I remember, and most of it went to waste.

That's it for tonight. We need to get to bed so Santa can come. :santa: I fear that Santa is going to be blown of course here in Middle Tennessee, because the wind is wild here tonight.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

She was excited about the presents she had opened. She was 'showing' me things over the phone. She's a mess!

This reminds me of my goddaughter. For awhile, when I talked to her on the phone, she would nod or shrug in response to my questions. :rotfl:

Since I'm not sure if I will be back on here before you leave, I hope you have safe travels! I think I leave for WDW the day after you get back, so tell Mickey I'll see him soon!

Merry Christmas!
Rachel

p.s. Jill - sorry about the toilet paper. I'll never do it again! :upsidedow

Thanks for the EWP pictures! I love how Brooklynn fell asleep with her glow rings!

I'm glad Jill took that picture. I was already back at Pop Century, so I didn't get to see her like that in person.

Ten and half hours, according to MapQuest, but we stop more often because my leg needs to walk and because of the little ones, so it takes us longer. Flying is awesome - there in under two hours and in a park or wherever we want to be within about three hours after we leave Nashville.

I think the NYE group will be us, Brook, Joe, and Henry, David and Kathy (tecdavidt on the boards), DWGal210, and Poolrat. Anyone who is going to be there NYE is more than welcome to come on over and introduce themselves and join us. :)

Maybe Jill can figure out the movie soon so you can see it.

Here's what I'm guessing for the parks, but don't hold me to it at all.

SUNDAY - 27 - 8:00 meet Anita (Miss Anita Wigd) and family and anyone else who shows at the Once Upon a Toy game tree in DTD.

These are the parks I think we might be at during the day.

MONDAY (28) - Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace dinner, Christmas parade

TUESDAY (29) - Epcot, Candlelight Processional, storytellers, Illuminations

WEDNESDAY (30) - Hollywood Studios, DTD

THURSDAY (31) - Animal Kingdom, Kona dinner, DIS meet/Poly fireworks

FRIDAY (1) - wherever Jill wants to go, guys are going to a football game

SATURDAY (2) - Magic Kingdom, begin travel home in the evening

TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY could switch around. Truthfully, I don't much care where we are on what day, so Jill can change this whole thing if she wants to.

I would like to take the guys over to Fort Wilderness to see all the Christmas displays at some point. Maybe Wednesday night?

I know I want to get to as many resorts as possible in the midst of all that. I love seeing all the themed decorations! I don't see myself getting much sleep on this trip, because after the others call it a night and go back to the room, I'll probably be walking around a resort taking pictures.

This reminds me of my goddaughter. For awhile, when I talked to her on the phone, she would nod or shrug in response to my questions.

Brooklynn nods, too. Jill tells her she has to speak the words yes and no. When she holds things up to the phone, I just act like I see it and get her to tell me about whatever it is, and then play the game from there as I figure it out.

Maybe we'll get a picture with Mickey and Minnie in Christmas gear. We might be able to do that easiest at Animal Kingdom.

I'm sure it is comforting for Jill to know there will be no more toilet paper incidents.

We wish to you all the Merriest Christmas ever!

Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy your beautiful families!

And come and show us pictures so we can see the fun. :santa:

Merry Christmas, MeMom, Jill, John, Brooklyn, Bella, Trent, Drew, and Jarvis! (I hope I didn't forget anyone!) :santa:

That Electrical Water Pageant is the exact same one that I want to watch from the shores of the GF while eating ice cream in July! :lovestruc

Safe travels and have an absolutely wonderful time!!!

I am watching the Disney Parade and catching up on the Dis today. I am all caught up on your trip and wishing your beautiful family a Merry Christmas. I hope and pray that you will have a great trip. I am looking forward to all of your pictures.

My dh got stuck at his job last night and we are expecting that he will be stuck there again tonight. His company puts him up at an Embassy Suites next to his job. I am thankful that we had already celebrated Christmas on Tuesday because we knew he had to work.

I hope you guys have a fantastic time. It hasn't even been 2 months since we got home and I want to go back so bad! DH and I have been talking about vacation plans for 2010 and I have to say that every other place we've considered just doesn't light a fire in me after going to WDW. I would go back there every year but DH thinks that is too much. I want to know how you get the men to go along with so many trips????? What are you bribbing them with? ;) I must know!!!

Can't wait to see all your pictures of all the festivites. Disney is so magical at Christmas!:santa:

You got the entire family and the 'adopted' son, as well.

It will be a moment to look forward to -
lounging out on the Grand beach
eating ice cream
with your family,
which will at that time include
a teenage daughter! :scared1::scared1::scared1:
:rotfl:

Thanks for the good wishes. We are going to wrap this one up today and start the new one. :)

I had the parade on as I was fixing omelets for the guys. It made me ready to go and see all the decorations and get tons of pictures.

Too bad your husband couldn't get home, and it is great that you were able to celebrate earlier. We're having strong winds here. Somebody put on Facebook last night that they were expecting to see Santa and Dorothy last night!

It's been since October for us, and I am more than ready to go again. July is going to be a long time coming.

They go partly because they like it, partly because we tell them we're going with or without them, and partly because there is good food involved. :goodvibes

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family, too! I bet Hannah and Owen have had a big day! Jill just called and said Brook and Bella are down for naps after a fun-filled day.

*********************************

The last set of pictures have now been loaded, so we are ready for the last day, August 3rd.

It was time to

IMG_0756.jpg

Drew and I got the last of the things in both rooms and did double checks of drawers, showers, and under the bed edges.

Say goodbye to the rooms, Drew.

IMG_0757.jpg

I think he may have grunted.

IMG_0758.jpg

Goodbye, lobby.
When I see you again, I hope you will be this empty as I check in.

IMG_0759.jpg

Yeah, it's Christmas/New Year's holiday, so there will be fourteen billion people in line, I'm sure.

It was six in the morning, so we took a cab to Wilderness Lodge.

Back at Wilderness Lodge.

IMG_0762.jpg

Bella was awake.

IMG_0763.jpg

IMG_0765.jpg

Brooklynn was not.

Jill, Drew, and I went to Roaring Fork to get some breakfast.

IMG_0766.jpg

The ducks enjoy having the pool to themselves in the morning.

IMG_0767.jpg

IMG_0768.jpg

I was so glad we were able to stay here, even if was just for a couple of days.

The food went back to the room.

IMG_0776.jpg

IMG_0777.jpg

We sat outside and ate and enjoyed the beauty of this last morning.

IMG_0778.jpg

Bella was finally successful in waking up her sister.

IMG_0779.jpg

Brooklynn immediately started loving on Bella.

IMG_0780.jpg

IMG_0781.jpg

Trent, Drew, and Jarvis rounded up and we said our goodbyes to them. They would be driving home all day.

The rest of us went to catch the boat to our last round at Magic Kingdom.

More animal prints in the concrete.

IMG_0783.jpg

Aren't these trees great?

IMG_0785.jpg

I can't say too many times what a beautiful place this is.

IMG_0786.jpg

We almost always go to Magic Kingdom on our last day and try to soak up all of the magic we can as we prepare for re-entry into real life.

We arrived at this time.

IMG_0787.jpg

We knew that we would watch the opening show this morning, because that is what Brooklynn wanted to do.

After the show, we made our way under the tunnel and down Main Street.

Bubbles were pouring out of the trash cans near the castle.

IMG_0802.jpg

It's always sad to know you are walking toward this for the last time.

IMG_0803.jpg

Before I move on, some pictures Jill took of the opening.

IMG_2899.jpg

IMG_2902.jpg

IMG_2904.jpg

The first stop, as almost always, was Dumbo.

IMG_0805.jpg

This time, I rode with the girls while Jill took the pictures.

From Dumbo, we walked toward the Haunted Mansion.
