Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

All caught up. Bkfst at Cape May looked outstanding! Trying to decide etween that and Tusker House. Sorry someone took a grumpy pill on ur day. Yay, 2 parks down 2 to go!

Tusker House was good. Tusker House had some incredible ham. I loved the plates they had, too. And I loved the fact that Jill booked it as a surprise for me. :thumbsup2

Cape May was excellent - great atmosphere, yummy food, beautiful resort! :goodvibes

I'm no help, right?

I'm really looking forward to riding The Great Movie Ride! I've never done it before!

Well, you really have to do it at least once, no doubt. I wonder when they might update and add some new scenes.

Hi Jill and Memom!!!
I can't believe we missed the :3dglasses great movie ride...we were HS newbies. Next time! I have to plan another trip for 2010! The girls are absolutely adorable!! Gotta go catch up on your tr! :hippie:

Haven't heard from you in a long while. It's past time for you to give us some new pictures of those growing girls.

Have fun with that 2010 planning! :cool1:

We rode the Great Movie Ride on our trip for the first time in years. I really enjoyed it. I had forgotten what it was really like. My son was a little scared, and I had told him there was nothing scary about it. I really didn't remember anything being scary.

Nothing scary, but you never know what scares kids. Maybe the witch or the shooting in the live action?

We did the movie ride for the first time last week and we really liked it too. We missed it last year. I took everyone's advice last year and only planned one day each for AK and HS, but to me, that just wasn't enough time. I'm still not sure why everyone thinks HS and AK can be done in one day. Maybe if you have already been there and done everything and you know what you want to do and what to skip, but one day is not enough for a first timer. This time we went to HS 2 days and that was MUCH better. With so much of the park being on schedules, it is hard to get it all done. We still haven't conquered TOT and probably never will!:scared1:

Your 4 parks day sounds like a whirlwind of fun though! We never do the park hopper to save money, so we have never done more than one park in a day. I guess you guys have APs though. Wish I could go often enough to need an AP!:worship: But I'll just live vicariously through you for now!

BTW, did you feel your spirit soaring this past Saturday???? Because I thought of you and your family while we were sailing over the orange groves!:cloud9: Tell Brooklynn that the golf ball wasn't a favorite of my DD either! :lmao:

I agree. I need plenty of time for Hollywood and AK.

I'll meet you at Tower of Terror and ride it with you. I love the drop. Don't like the elevator so much, but love the drop.

Saturday? Hmmm...it does seem like we were walking through the mall and suddenly felt a gust of wind pick us up and carry us a little way. ;)

What were your dates? We were there Nov 7-14. It would be neat if our paths crossed. What days were you in the parks?

We need a master calendar so everyone can meet!

Another great update MeMom. :) The Great Movie Ride was a first for me last year and I thought it was pretty cute. Sorry about the grumpy pill. Those happen at my house too. And men say women can get crabby, don't they? LOL! ;)

I hope your trip is grumpiness-free. :goodvibes

Hi MeMom

I have been out of action for a while so just caught up! About a week ago I did my back in and was literally bed bound for 2-days before I found the strength to get downstairs. Then on Monday this week I went into hospital for an operation to remove my gall bladder and 4 big gall stones! It was a quick operation and went well but I am very sore and grumpy! It was done keyhole and so I have a hole in my belly button and 3 holes dotted around my tummy. Its been over a week since I had a proper cuddle with Toby! Had a small one today but I could feel it hurting so gave him back to Daddy.

Hope you have a good weekend! xxx

Even little cuts can leave behind a lot of pain. My knee has little bitty scars, but sometimes it can be a great big pain! Hope you feel better soon!

Wow, what fun pics from the Great Movie Ride! Felt like I was there! :)

Haha, sorry Brookie..the Jamaican look is not for you.

We should have put that hat on Jarvis. ::yes::

Awww...lets see...here's a before and after our BBB appointment:

Here they are...we got into the park early and the girls had no idea we were headed to their surprise BBB appointment...

This is where the grumpy pill took hold for a few minutes. John does not do well in the heat. He began complaining and saying doing this four parks thing was a stupid idea. The other guys had already left and would be meeting back up later. John chose to stay, but he could have gone on back. I would rather have had him go back than to stay and rain on our four parks excitement. His grumpy pill lasted throughout the wait, but once we were on the ride, he was okay.

Oh this just cracks me up cause that's my dh about one hour into any Disney park. I finally got smart and stopped taking him with me to the parks...:rotfl2:;)

Wow, Brooklynn is one cute Jamaican :rotfl:

Love the shots from the GMR! Even though that's an oldie, its a goodie :thumbsup2

Actually, I was thinking, "Why have I never thought to take pictures then?"

Maybe next time. :)

I love seeing this - knowing they are about to be surprised! :)

According to my pictures, the next stop was Animal Kingdom Lodge. I remember a short stop here because of this historical event for Bella.

She got her first bite of baby food.

At first she turned her head for a second,

but only for a second.

She decided very quickly this was very interesting stuff! :thumbsup2

Bella's first baby food was purchased at Beach Club earlier that morning, by the way.

And now for Park #3 - Animal Kingdom.

Our goal here was to see the Jammin' Jungle Parade.

Brooklynn got a treat here.

I remember us sitting by the water so Jill could sit in the shade and nurse Bella.

Little did she know, danger lurked nearby.

He wasn't very big, but it was interesting to see a gator not in an exhibit. I was used to it when I lived in Florida, but it's been a while. Tennessee doesn't have gators in every puddle of water like Florida. :)

After the parade, Jill's bunch headed back to the room for rest, and I did a little walking around.

Later this weekend - Park #4!

That looks like a neat parade! We've never actually sat and watched a whole parade through. Is that bad?! LOL! If I were to pick one of those treats now, I think I'd go for the strawberry bar; just like Brooklynn. Yum!

Awww..WTG on baby's first solid foods!!!! That is awesome you could have that milestone at Disney...how fun!!!

Loved this update and all the wonderful pictures of the Animal Kingdom parade. Still haven't seen it but one day I'm going to remedy that...looks like so much fun!!!

I practically did a little happy dance in my computer chair when I read that Bella's first bite of baby food occurred at my favorite Disney resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! :rotfl:

You mean Bella didn't try a zebra dome? Poor little girl! :rotfl2:

Those parade pictures came out awesome. I amazed by how much character action you all get at the parades! :thumbsup2

Precious pictures of Bella's first baby food. The day looks like a blast. Since we were with a pretty big group who wanted to stick together, it was hard to move around a lot. It was good for me because it forced me to sit back a little and take it all in. I started looking at the details and saw things differently since seeing your view of things through your camera. I just loved it!

What were your dates? We were there Nov 7-14. It would be neat if our paths crossed. What days were you in the parks?

We were there from Nov. 6-16. We went to the parks everyday. We spent both Saturdays and Wed. at Epcot, Sunday (8th) at AK, Mon (9th)/Tues/Fri at MK, and Thurs./Sun (15th) at HS! Whew....... that was a mouthfull! I'm sure we crossed paths at some point. And my DH is a BIG talker so if we were near each other in line, I'm sure we talked! He talks to everyone!:lmao: I talked with several people that I thought might be disers, but I never asked. I should have though!

Love the parade pictures! We didn't stick around for the parade but it's going on the list! I would love to have one of those Mickey bars right now. *sigh* How cool that Bella's first taste of baby food was at the AK Lodge!

I can't believe I've been gone for less than a week and have already missed two parks!

That Thanksgiving feast looks wonderful. I love having family together for any occasion, especially if there is food! We had our own feast last weekend when all of our families came down from MI to celebrate my mom and father in law's birthday as well as Aileen's baptism. It was so wonderful to have those that we are close to in our house, instead of being the ones that travel.

Every time I see the AK parade, I realize how much I want to see that next time I go. It looks so fun! Can't wait to see the end to your wonderful day!

I love that Bella had a milestone at Disney -- very appropriate!

I thought of you earlier -- my mom was finally due for an upgrade on her phone, so she got an iPhone. She came into my room earlier and was like, "Meg, listen to this!" It was people singing "Joy to the World" and it was absolutely amazing -- turns out it was from the Candlelight Processional! I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was something like Disney and/or Christmas radio? She can correct me if she sees this. I remember you have seen it before and loved it.

That's right - you better not leave us out of this next trip!!!
Where's the smiley that shakes its finger at you?

I will need a fix. I think there's something special about spring, because I'm so ready to get out in the sunshine. I will be dying, dying, dying to see some palm trees, so get some pictures of those for me. :thumbsup2

Oh, I will definitely not leave you out of this next trip! And I will be sure to take lots of palm tree pictures for you. I'll take some and upload them to Facebook from my phone so you get to see them sooner, too. :thumbsup2

I hope you have a good weekend!

Jammin Jungle Parade hooray! That is such an awesome parade, I am so glad we finally saw it and so glad to get to see it again tonight.

Today was the day for the Disney Store Pajama Party. Hannah and I were very excited about this! They had two different times and I decided to go to the first at 5:30. I don't know if it was due to the early time but this wasn't near as much fun (at least to me! LOL) as I thought it would be. :confused3

We got there about 10 minutes early so we just walked around the store. A couple of CMs were setting up a table near the front. Once the "party" started they had cookies and juice for the kids. From there the kids went to another CM who gave them a sheet with Mickey and Minnie on it, along with some crayons for them to color. Finally, the CM read a book to them (Prep and Landing) and that was it.

Hannah didn't really want the cookies  but the CM with the coloring pages told her she had to get them  so she went back and got cookies and juice. She ate the cookies and drank the juice so I guess she wanted them after all. I think even Hannah was a bit bored because during the reading of the story she was watching the (muted) videos on the screens above the CMs head. She was more interested in what I was going to buy for her. :rotfl: She walked out with a Sleeping Beauty doll.

A couple of cool things happened: I took some pictures of the CMs (along with my shopping pictures!) and one of the CMs came up to me and asked if I'd e-mail her the CM pictures I took. She said that when they have an event nobody remembers to bring a camera and she wants to send them to Corporate. I told her I'd be glad to so she gave me her e-mail address. We talked some about the upcoming changes to the stores (according to her they don't know which ones will have the interactive features) and how each store does their own events but the pajama party was being done by all of the stores. Since Prep and Landing is going to be airing on ABC on December 1 I'm thinking it was just a thinly veiled marketing ploy.

Later, Hannah was looking at one of the larger Minnie plushes on the huge display. This same CM came up and Hannah asked her why one Minnie was wearing a pink dress and the other had the red dress. I can't remember now what she said about the pink dress but the red, of course, is Minnie's signature dress as it matches Mickey's red outfit. She also told Hannah that Minnie came along much later; that Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy were the original Fab 5 characters and that Minnie was added later. Hannah wasn't impressed but I was! LOL

Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for.......PICTURES!!!! (When I got them all uploaded I had 101 pictures!!!!! Do you think that means I'm obsessed?!!!)

We've arrived!
