Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Hi memom,
How was your tuesday?
Did you hear about the 2010 promotion?
It's called give a day, get a disney day! We are now going thanksgiving 2010 because of it:goodvibes
Congrats on your Crystal Palace ressie.
I just made one for 1:00 on Emily's birthday:thumbsup2

Tuesday was okay. A pretty normal Tuesday. I went camera hunting after school, but I came home empty-handed. I'd like to have something for this weekend so that I can test it out at Disney on Ice.

I did glance at the Give a Day promotion, but I haven't really sat down to look at exact details yet.

I'm happy with getting the Crystal Palace reservation. Jill and I have been wanting Trent to try it, so when he said he was planning on being there on the 28th, I went ahead and booked it. Like wigd, I hope we can get into the park to get to our ADR. :goodvibes

All caught up. Great pics as always and even a few "hidden MeMoms" Glad the guys arrived safely. Drew gives directions like my hubby!

Drew is very basic about most things, but ask him a question about a BMX anything, a car part, or a camera type, and he can get very detailed. More than you'd ever want to know about those things, just enough to scrape by on anything else.

Loved the updates! Sorry I haven't commented already but I've been trying to finalize some things for our November trip. I had to tell you about the deal I got b/c I wasn't sure if you had booked your October flight yet or not. Maybe a similar deal will come your way. I got a Ding from Southwest today for $59 per person from Raleigh to Orlando! So I booked it and have been trying to figure all the flying stuff out. I have never flown (and swore I never would) and I am very nervous. I'm excited but very nervous. Please tell me it will be ok. I need reassurance. I cannot believe that I actually booked it. I am putting MY BABY ON A PLANE!!!!!!!!! :scared1: Tell me I am not insane. People fly everyday, right???? Southwest has never had a fatality, right???? Yes, I am already panicing and it is a month away. And I know NOTHING about flying at all! I've got to learn what you can take and how it has to be bagged up and all that stuff.:teacher: Please tell me that there is nothing to worry about!

You'll probably get spoiled to flying. It is so nice to just be there in a couple of hours fresh and ready to go. I'm claustrophobic, as you may know, so my worry was being enclosed, but I have learned just where I can sit on the plane to have enough room in front of me to feel good, and I imagine that the whole back behind me is just open space. I turn on the air over me, read a magazine, and look out the window at the wide open space frequently. For the payoff of being there by the time I skim through the magazine, I have made myself be able to do that. The heights don't bother me, and I don't even think of crashing or anything like that. I think our chances of a car wreck would be much higher. I think you'll do fine, and I bet you'll decide that at $59, it's definitely the way to go!

We'll be driving in December, because flights are high then, and many of them are already gone as it is. I'm kind of looking forward to it, though, because we're going to stop at the mall for a while before we go into WDW, and I have been wanting to do that.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am up before the chickens this morning b/c I didn't sleep a wink all night. Every time I closed my eyes, I kept picturing the events of 9-11. I know that sounds stupid, but that was the most awful day and it is etched into my mind. I just kept thinking what those people must have felt like knowing they were about to die. I am trying so hard not to think about that, but I just cannot help it. This is going to be very hard for me to do. But I really appreciate your reassurance. Maybe I should get some drugs from my doctor!:lmao: I seriously think I am going to need it. I did find a web site that said your chances of dying in an airplane are 1 in 10 million (on the safest airlines that is) versus 1 in 100 dying in a car accident. I've got the logic down, now I just have to convince the rest of my paranoid brain!

And I feel for you on the claustrophobia. I have a touch of that too.......... elevators, closets, etc. but I think I would be ok on the plane. It has to be really tight or I have to feel like I am smothering or drowning before I freak out. I hate stupid fears like that, but it is really hard to shake them if that's your personality type even if you know they are rediculous.

I love your group picture, I just wish it included one other very important person. We have an ADR for Teppan Edo in November. My son loves hibachi chicken.

I hope you find a great deal on a great camera. I can't wait to see the pictures of Disney on Ice.

I'm glad you managed to get a Crystal Palace reservation! It has always been a favorite with us and I'm sure Trent will come to love it as well! I'm going to pm you and Jill later so that you have my # for that morning...

Drew and his parasol make me laugh. He seems like such a funny kid. I'm glad the lost was found and you all enjoyed Teppan Edo. :) Great update MeMom and Jill.

What meal did you book Crystal Palace for? Flossbolna reassured me that we will be OK on Christmas day so I'm saying ( being the expert that I'm not, but totally trusting a fellow DISer) that we will be fine! Right Floss?

Look at all your cute kiddo's!! :thumbsup2 Great pic!

Has anyone else had problems with the dis being EXTREMELY SLOW!!!! I've been here but it seems to take me FOREVER to get to a TR and even just to change pages. I'm not having problems with any other sites so I'm pretty sure it's not my computer :confused3??!!??

Anyway....wanted to say hi and let you know that I have been around :goodvibes

Hope you are doing well!!

Hi, friends!

Glad to see everyone is doing just fine. ;)

Vandyfan How are you feeling?
I have noticed the same problems on here lately. Sometimes I sit here for a long time and eventually give up.

MeMom I'm sorry your meal at Teppan Edo wasn't spectacular. Lexi wants to try it, so I'll be seeing for myself.

I hope you find a new camera....I'd love some Disney on Ice pics! :thumbsup2

Yep...same here. And like CanadianWDWFan there are times I just give up and come back later.

Hey there! Hope you are doing well!

I LOVED that picture of Bella, passed our in her Baby Bjorn. :goodvibes So sweet! I feel like that too sometimes - wouldn't it be nice to carried around in one of those now? :rotfl:

Going back to read more...you gals are doing a great job!

Some people do take a little something to make them relax, but I've done okay without that. If I can do it, you can do it.

I hate being claustrophobic. Seriously, when you can't looked at cute little snowglobes because you think the characters are being suffocated, that's crazy, but it is what it is.

When you talked about measuring Brooklynn for Soarin.

Oh, okay.
That was pretty smart of me, then, huh?

Great restaurant update, the food looks great. Now i'm hungry!!!!

There will be many more food pictures in the report, so pull up a chair and a big napkin! :goodvibes

I got a camera. Not what I wanted, but I'm testing it out this weekend at Disney on Ice, so we'll see. If I don't like it, I'll return it and get something else before we go to WDW.

It's become a favorite of ours, too.
You did get my PM back, I hope.

Drew and his parasol make me laugh. He seems like such a funny kid. I'm glad the lost was found and you all enjoyed Teppan Edo. :) Great update MeMom and Jill.

Drew can be silly when he wants to, but he's usually pretty low key. Like I said, the things he knows about, he knows a lot about and will easily talk your ears off, but if he's not comfortable with something, he doesn't have much to say. That's pretty much how I am, as well, so I don't know if he learned that from me or is just that way by nature.

What meal did you book Crystal Palace for? Flossbolna reassured me that we will be OK on Christmas day so I'm saying ( being the expert that I'm not, but totally trusting a fellow DISer) that we will be fine! Right Floss?

Dinner again. Their food is so good, and I know our guys will pig out. I hope we get in, too, but if we don't, we'll find a place to eat somewhere, so I'm not going to stress about it too much.

I do have quite the mix, don't I? I've got black, white, and Asian covered. Now I need Brazilian, maybe, or an Italian? Maybe a red-headed Irishman.

DIS is slow sometime. It's annoying, but worth the wait if you do have the time. When I don't have the time, I just leave it and have lots more to catch up on later, but I'm always glad it is here. :)

Found one - Nikon CoolPix L100. We'll see what it does.

I hope you love Teppan Edo. It was a fun meal, and I am glad we experienced it.

Me, too.
At least it is here when we do come back. What would we do without the DIS?

Jill said she's got some more pictures of Bella to put up soon...maybe even tonight. :cutie:

After dinner, we parted ways. The boys wanted to go back to Pop and get some swim and rest time in. Jill's family and I planned to see Fantasmic.

A couple from World Showcase as we left.

Do you think you could easily recognize this on the airport luggage belt?

IMG_0338.jpg

We took the boat.

IMG_0339.jpg

From inside the boat.

IMG_0340.jpg

IMG_0341.jpg

There was a young teenage boy on the boat who appeared to be autistic. He made it clear he did not want to be getting on this boat at all. The noise of the boat disturbed him, and perhaps the people, and he did a lot of rocking and holding his ears to block it out. His techniques worked, because although he was in obvious distress, he held himself together quite well. I didn't know him, but I remember being impressed with him and proud of him for his efforts.

And here we are in Hollywood Studios.

This was the crowd level.

The time was:

My next collage after the water feature one could end of being a Disney clocks one.

Not blurry ones like that, but the good ones. ;)

BD?

IMG_0350.jpg

Wherever could that be?

Over to the Animation Studio.

IMG_0351.jpg

Ad for The Princess and the Frog, which looks very cute.

IMG_0352.jpg

Another Hidden MeMom behind the gator?
I'm just getting out of hand with these on this trip!

A little dude with a feisty attitude.

I think we're going to come to like this little amphibian.

IMG_0361.jpg

I should have zoomed in on this article.

IMG_0363.jpg

Brooklynn wanted to color Flounder.

IMG_0364.jpg

I suppose you saw the little feet on the side?
Bella is trying her best to get in on the 'Hidden' game, too!

IMG_0365.jpg

Perhaps he should be green.

IMG_0367.jpg

Or maybe purple?

IMG_0368.jpg

IMG_0369.jpg

And now some singing.

IMG_0372.jpg

Has anybody ever said this to you?

Who were you most like when you did this?

A moment of shopping on the way out.

Coming in the next day or two:

I just love Hollywood Studios! I think I'm going to brave the Fantasmic crowds, I really want to see it again!

My brother has a Coolpix that he absolutely loves. His wife has a dSLR and it was hard for them to tell the two sets of pics apart at first glance.

Looking forward to seeing the Ptincess and the Frog. Think Aileen is too young to take to princess movies? ;)

It's a great show. I hope the crowd and weather is better for standing in lines waiting on it on this trip, because we have cousins and friends who are planning to try to see it.

The more I read about it tonight, I think I may return it after all. I really wanted to get the Nikon D40, which is twice as much, but I think I just settled to get something before this weekend. I think I should get what I want now and not end up buying two cameras - a cheaper one now and a better one next year. I'll decide tomorrow.

I better figure something out quickly, too, because I also have to come home and bake a birthday cake for one of Trent's friends for tomorrow night, too!

Even if she sleeps through the whole movie, Aileen will be getting the subliminal Disney vibes as she snoozes.
