Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

like so many have already said, very cute birthday party pictures!! Finding decorations on the cheap make them even more fun to buy!!

Fun pictures from Crystal Palace, the parade and Buzz:cool1:

I love Crystal Palace! The food there is wonderful. It's so bright and cheery and you can't beat meeting Pooh and the gang! :)

Looks like you had a wonderful time there despite having to wait a while for Pooh.

I love the picture of Brooklyn eating ice cream as Eeyore tries to get her attention! :rotfl:

That was super nice of the CM to give you another set of Fast Passes! It just goes to show how being nice and patient can pay off! :goodvibes

Your score looks like my score on Buzz Lightyear! Mine is always the lowest one of the group! :lmao:

great shots at CP! it looks like bella was great with the characters for her first time. and how awesome that eeyore was her first character!

how nice that you guys got some extra pixie dust and got the fastpass for having to wait for pooh. (i just laughed at myself for typing the phrase, "having to wait for pooh". :rotfl:)

IMG_0217.jpg

you can't see poor brooklynn's head!

The jellyfish forest I created with MeMom's assistance.

IMG_0044.jpg

very crafty! :thumbsup2

MeMom sat with Bella on the swing for a few minutes before all the children started arriving.

IMG_3085.jpg

it's memom!!!!! a very rare sighting indeed. :goodvibes

looks like a fun party! the food looked yummy and so did the cake. great job on the cake, by the way! :) glad you guys had a fun day.

Love all the birthday party pics! Jill did a great job on the cake.

Another great update! MeMom you got some really good pictures of the parade. I couldn't help but laugh at the pic of Mr. Incredible with his beads. It looks like you caught him really gettin' his groove on!  Sweet pictures of the girls at CP. When I saw Bella in the picture with Pooh I thought "Uh oh...somebody isn't liking Pooh Bear too much!"

Morning MeMom and Jill,

What a great party Brooklynn had!!! Loved seeing all the pics, thanks for sharing!! :goodvibesThe jelly fish forest was the best and the cake was just beautiful, nice job girls!:thumbsup2

MeMom,
So happy to hear that you're feeling a bit better knee wise, but sorry to hear your cough is still persistant. I hope taking today easy, you'll feel better soon!!! Oh and I had to say, no I do not roll my eyes at your "corniness"....I thnk it's cute!!! :cutie:

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! I have an hour to get a shower and get all three boys ready for church, better get off DIS!

We always enjoy sharing our parties, and we love seeing all of yours, as well.

The cough is showing signs of dying ever so slowly.

I hope your family had a wonderful Sunday! :)

I might have to pre-order the TSM Wii game as well -- my brother works at a game store so I'll have to ask if he can do it for me. It might be good practice for when we go in February -- I am not normally a competitive person but my dad is pretty good at bringing out that side in me. :rotfl2:

It looks like a fun game. I'm not a video game person, but I'll have to give this one a try. I'll play against Brooklynn so that I don't lose by so much!

Great pics of Pooh and friends! Food looks wonderful! Owen was waving at Pooh on the screen. :lovestruc Cracks me up, he wanted nothing to do with them while we were there.

They're a little safer and smaller on the computer screen!

MeMom! You're grading stuff?! I used to love doing that when I was helping the 1st grade teachers for my Co-op job my Senior year in high school.

Dad was looking at your Crystal Palace pics with me. He thinks Brookie and Bella look adorable with the characters...our favorite is the one with Eeyore! Okay question for you: do you think breakfast, lunch, or dinner would be best to take the little guy there?

Great pics of the show in front of the Castle. I still can't get over the fact that their eyes and mouth move! I haven't decided if I like it or not yet. :rotfl:

The grading will be simpler in second grade, but you are welcome to come down and do it for me any time! :)

I'm glad you're bring your dad around to meet your DIS friends. When we meet next summer at the hippo, he can see how much the girls have grown right there in person.

We have not had breakfast there, but we might do that next summer. Dinner has been great both times, and there's always the fun of putitng your own sprinkles in your ice cream for a little one. Early morning empty park pictures tempt me to make a morning ADR next year!

Bella seems like she did pretty well with the characters!

I love the CP pictures -- we haven't eaten there in years, and I think that is one of the places my mom is considering when we go.

The parade looks so cute! We caught a little bit of it by accident, when we were either trying to leave MK or make our way across the park.

Bella did fine. She was too little to be afraid of them. We'll see how much she changes from now to October.

Crystal Palace gets two of these :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 from us!

Mmmm, I love Crystal Palace! You really have interacted with some outstanding CMs so far, haven't you? Can't wait to hear what the other special pass was used for!

Denise

I had the roast, which was a little too pink for me, but still good, barbecue, corn pudding, broccoli, and salad, and then I had a couple of desserts. It was all delicious!

So far that day, we had had the magic doled out quite nicely - we got the decade we wanted at Pop, our rooms were ready early, and we had lots of Fastpasses! :goodvibes

Wow. You guys sure do know how to throw a party! Brooklyn's b-day looks amazing. Love all the decorations, especially the jelly fish. You are so creative! I'm sure everyone had a fantastic time!

Back to WDW... how nice that the Crystal Palace folks extended some magic for your waiting for Winnie.

That picture of Brooklyn holding Bella's hand at the parade is positively priceless! :goodvibes

MeMom- hope you rested up this weekend and are feeling better! :)

I love that picture of Brooklynn with Bella's hand in hers! My sweet, sweet girls!

The Crystal Palace CM's apologized several times for Pooh's absence. I guess wires got crossed with the handlers as to who had been where.

Great pictures as usual MeMom! Bella looks like she was really enjoying the characters right up until the end there when she got a little fussy. For an infant, shes doing so well!! Of course we know Brooklynn loves the characters :goodvibes

I really enjoyed the Move It Shake It Celebrate It parade! Such cute interaction between the dancers and characters with the people watching. I love the big float presents too. Can't wait to hear and see more! :thumbsup2

It was time for Bella to sleep. She had had enough of the fun!

Some people really do crowd around the characters too closely when they are all alowed out on the streets. I guess it could get a little dangerous for the characters to be so crowded while trying to see through the costumes.

Great updates

Jill- Love the nemo party and all the decorations
Memom - Love the Crystal palace and parade pictures
It sure looks like Brooklyn is showing Bella the ropes from meeting characters to parade waving protocol.
What a great big sister!!!!
You are having some great mojo with some nice CM's and magic fast passes

It was all a fun start to a great trip!

Again, you get magical fast passes for being nice. Yippeeee! Doesn't it always pay to be a nicey?

Bella looks like she did very well with the characters! You can tell that Brooklynn is a seasoned DIS kid, most almost 3 yr olds seem to be a bit shy!
MeMom I saw you again riding Buzz! You go girl!

I pretty much try to be a 'nicey' in any situation. You really don't know what people might be going through in their lives, so if they're grumpy, maybe it's just all become too much for them. I'm not excusing bad behavior, but I just try to be understanding of what might be going on behind the scenes and I try to be nicer and more patient than ever. It could be the turning point in a person's day.

I was taking pictures. Could you tell that my hands weren't on the gun? ;)

:lmao: I LOVE this!!!! :lmao:

Poor Eeyore! He didn't realize he'd (his clone?) already been there, I guess.

Jill, the cake looked awesome!! I loved all your decorations! The jellyfish forest was a really cute idea.

I love, love, love the picture of Brooklyn holding Bella's hand at the parade! Hollie saw it and wanted me to tell Brooklyn and Bella that "they are soooo cute and precious"! She also wanted me to tell Brooklyn that she likes her waterslide and that she will come and play with her one day on it! :lmao:

Me, too!

I'm sure Brooklynn would be more than delighted for Hollie to come and play! They would have a ball squealing and splashing and sliding around on that water slide.

like so many have already said, very cute birthday party pictures!! Finding decorations on the cheap make them even more fun to buy!!

Fun pictures from Crystal Palace, the parade and Buzz:cool1:

We had a fun weekend. The partying is over for me. Brooklynn still gets to have birthday fun when she goes to KY on Labor Day.

Brooklynn really liked Buzz this trip!

I love Crystal Palace! The food there is wonderful. It's so bright and cheery and you can't beat meeting Pooh and the gang! :)

Looks like you had a wonderful time there despite having to wait a while for Pooh.

Us, too! It's so good. The building is beautiful and the characters are fun. It's worth the money you pay, I think.

:lmao:

She was very much into her ice cream!

I have to try to actually play these games someday and see what I can score. It will be horrible, but I still should try. It's more fun to me to take pictures, though.

great shots at CP! it looks like bella was great with the characters for her first time. and how awesome that eeyore was her first character!

how nice that you guys got some extra pixie dust and got the fastpass for having to wait for pooh. (i just laughed at myself for typing the phrase, "having to wait for pooh". :rotfl:)

you can't see poor brooklynn's head!

I loved that Eeyore was her first Disney pal, too! :)

Brooklynn loved sitting in her own spot and getting to shoot!

very crafty! :thumbsup2

it's memom!!!!! a very rare sighting indeed. :goodvibes

looks like a fun party! the food looked yummy and so did the cake. great job on the cake, by the way! :) glad you guys had a fun day.

I allow one picture here and there, but I still hate them.

Jill's cake was fantastic!

I love this picture!!! Too cute!

It is, isn't it?

Love all the birthday party pics! Jill did a great job on the cake.

Another great update! MeMom you got some really good pictures of the parade. I couldn't help but laugh at the pic of Mr. Incredible with his beads. It looks like you caught him really gettin' his groove on!  Sweet pictures of the girls at CP. When I saw Bella in the picture with Pooh I thought "Uh oh...somebody isn't liking Pooh Bear too much!"

I always manage to get a good picture of Mr. Incredible in his beads. He's pretty spiffy looking, alright!

Bella wasn't afraid of Pooh. She was just tired and needed to get out of there. She was really too little to be happy for or afraid of the characters, but I bet her reactions will be more involved one way or the other when we go back in two months.

Have a Marvelous Monday, all!

Good Morning All,
Great update and pictures, as usual!:goodvibes
We love CP also. We have enjoyed every meal there. Love the character interaction. Jill I love the pic of you and the girls with Tigger...adorable. What a surprise from that CM...FP's are always a wonderful thing!

Love the pictures of the parade...looks like so much fun. Is this the 3 pm parade? Love the interaction -the dancing. I will be looking forward to this in Oct.:thumbsup2

So glad you went to the Dr about your knee. I am also happy to hear you will be all healed up by Oct. that is awesome news. I'm sure you will let us all know what and when so we can be praying for you. I think our dates will work to meet up at the end of your trip, the beginning of mine. We will arrive late on the 22. :goodvibes

The Nemo birthday party looked like it was so much fun. I know the kids loved the water slide. Jill, you did a fabulous job on Brooklynn's cake. It was super cute! The jelly fish were just fabulous...you are a genius. I don't think I would have thought that up. BTW...we are kindred spirits in the bargain shopping department...I love:love:a bargain.

We are having a bday (pool) party for my DS this upcoming weekend. It gets so hard as they get older...no more cutesy themes and decorations...Just large quantities of food :rotfl:. He hasn't wanted a party for a few years and all of a sudden he wants a party, so we are having one.:thumbsup2 Not really sure what to do with teens. :confused3 except feed em'. I certainly don't want DS's friends to say the party was boring:eek:. I guess just let them swim, hang out and talk and listen to music. It will be mostly kids from church so I hope it goes well. Any suggestions Memom -or anyone- I am open for ideas. I am probably worrying for nothing.

Hope you have a wonderful Monday!
TTFN,
Darlene

Haha, sounds like a deal!

It will be so exciting to see how much they've grown in person, since I see how much they're growing regularly on here, thanks to you and Jill. :goodvibes

When are you planning on going next summer? July again?

We've had dinner there before! I can't wait to start planning our ADR's for places like that with him. I hope he likes the characters!

Hope you have a good Monday too!

I do too -- mostly because of work. :rotfl: A lot of the people that I deal with are okay, but there is that handful of people who are just nuts, and I always try to be as nice as possible to everyone -- especially those who work with the public, like myself, because I know how much easier it is for the people on the receiving end.

My mom heard a rumor that CP might be closed in January/February. :( I am keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't true, but since she wants to go to a buffet, I mentioned 1900 PF -- I'd love to see the GF in person.

Heya guys! ive just joined dis though ive been scanning through it for over a year! :) ive just finished reading your whole report and i cant WAIT for more! its awsome and i love the shop pics memom - i love all the cool disney merchadise - we will be going to disney world for the first time in april '10 and i cant wait!

This is a parade somewhat like Block Party Bash, because it comes out, stops, and the characters interact with the guests. It comes out several times a day.

The MRI is scheduled for Thursday, and I go back to the doctor to consult on Friday, so by Friday of this week, I should know everything there is to know. I will be glad to have it all over with.

I was proud of Jill for her cake. She got lots of compliments on it. :)

As for Justin's party - food, food, and more food, and it will be a hit with teenagers. Since you have a pool (or access to one), I'd go with a luau theme. Put some limbo poles out - you never know, they might have fun with those! Teenage boys love a challenge! When I have time to stop, I'll think of games we've done at camp that our teenagers like, but I think your kids will be just fine with hanging out, eating, and socializing.

We're looking at dates now. I need to keep June open for summer school so that I can afford to pay for the trip, so we'll probably leave right after that. We're thinking of adding a couple of days onto next year, since we take it slower now with more small children, and especially since we'll be there during Fourth of July time again. I need to keep then middle to end of July open for church camp, so it's pretty much going to be between those times.

I do too -- mostly because of work. :rotfl: A lot of the people that I deal with are okay, but there is that handful of people who are just nuts, and I always try to be as nice as possible to everyone -- especially those who work with the public, like myself, because I know how much easier it is for the people on the receiving end.

We're going to do 1900 PF, too, but were just waiting for Brooklynn to be a little older. You've not seen Grand Floridian? Even if you don't eat there, go over there to walk through the lobby and out to the beach. It is a pretty place!

Welcome to the group! We're glad you are enjoying the pictures. Your first trip to Disney World will be incredible, and you will probably be planning your next trip as you are leaving! :goodvibes

Aw, the picture of the girls with Eeyore is so precious! Wonder what was up with Pooh? I'm glad you were "compensated" for your patience. See, nice guys don't always finish last!:goodvibes

What a fabulous party for Brooklynn and her friends! Between the decorations and the cake, you two are one talented duo! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the doctor thinks he can have you as good as new for your upcoming trip! :cool1:

Your pics were great- your daughters are adorable and so sweet with each other! Love how Brooklynn is teaching her baby sister nice and young what to do in Disney. :flower3:

WOW! You do have a big class, but come to think of it, I think that my youngest DD has about that many in her 4th grade class. It's no wonder teachers are over worked!
Love that picture of Bella pitching her little baby fit. It's amazing how early they start with their little tempers and personalities.
I hope that the Dr is able to give you some relief on Friday.

Hi memom
How was the 1st day of the school year? (you said you were starting all over because you were sick last week) Amy and Emily's 1st day back was today.

You were really cleaning up with the fastpasses. What did you do with the second one? At Hollywood studios half our tickets wouldn't work so I asked the Cm if she could give us anything for the half an hour we killed getting them reprinted during A.M EMH. Nothing. Finally she gave us FPs that couldn't be used on shows or TSM. :confused3

Love the picture of Brooklyn holding Bella's hand during the parade.:lovestruc We took Amy to Disney when she was 2 months and Emily did the same thing. On all the rides she was forcing her to wave at all the things. Poor baby:rotfl: and when Emily 1st saw Amy at the hospital she was so excited she kept shouting 'Baby! Baby! Baby!' and couldn't believe it was hers then half an hour later she sticks the bottle up her nose.:rotfl2: Just thought I should share the funny story.

What a fun Nemo party-our "Sleeping Booty" one is on Sun. Last bday party in this house-we are moving in early Oct-and first one without Gramma :sad2:
So glad everyone had such a fun time at CP-C is still afraid of Tigger-maybe by May she will not be. Any word on the MRI??

It looks like Brooklynn's party was perfect. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

We love the Crystal Palace also. We always eat breakfast there. The plate without green vegetables looks very famaliar to me. I think I would fit right in with your eaters.
