Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Good luck and good thoughts coming your way for a quick and as "pain free as they can get it" recovery.
Don't over do it and you will be good as gold for Disney in Oct!

I'm just getting caught up again and seeing that you're about to have surgery! Good luck and 'see' you when you get back to feeling better!

Oh and the thought of a Disney walking group is fabulous! I really need the exercise motivation and talking Disney would be great. Marc and Disney talk only gets me so far.
Wait, what did I miss here?!?

MeMom, you are going to do great and there is no way you will be that one in a million person with complications. Even though you ARE a one in a million person to all of us!

memom....i'm SO glad i came by here before your surgery tomorrow to wish you well. i almost missed sending you some good vibes from georgia!!! :goodvibes

you will have lots of DISers thinking of you tomorrow and i will definitely be one of them. hopefully you will be up and at 'em in no time. i KNOW you will!

in the meantime.....

Adding my good thoughts and prayers for your surgery tomorrow. :goodvibes I'll be anxiously awaiting an update - when you can. Take care of yourself!

I will take care of myself. I'm rather enjoying having an excuse to sit around and Dis with little else to have to be tending to. ;)

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow MeMom! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery

Thanks, Kristen!

Hope all goes well for you. I'm sure it will. I think about what it would be like to need medical treatment if we lived in Africa or some third world country. Or what is was like 100 years ago before modern medicine. What a blessing to have a bum knee in America in 2009!:lmao: I feel for you though on the food and water deal. My surgery was after lunch too and I thought I wouldn't make it without something to drink, but you will. I didn't get to eat any solid food for 3 days afterwards either!!! But all of that and the pain is already a distant memory and it was just 2 months ago. So just think about how fast time flies and this will all be over before you know it. And who knows, with the pain meds, you might actually sleep until AFTER the chickens get up!:rotfl:

Very true. There are people all over the world who have horrible pains that go on forever. I am very blessed to have good treatment.

I am already dying a slow death here, though, because I want to guzzle my water! I've just been taking a sip to wet my mouth and spitting it out. No water for me equals torture!

I might get some sleep if I am on drugs...that's true!

good luck tommorow!!

Thanks!

Hi!

I'm just coming out of lurkdom to wish you good luck tomorrow! I'll be sending happy thoughts of quick recovery your way! :flower3:

I have thoroughly enjoyed your last few trip reports. Brooklyn and Bella are absolutely adorable. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trips and joy with each other. :goodvibes

Rachel

p.s. I love the shopping pictures too, although I am sure it will prove incredibly dangerous for my wallet come January. :rolleyes1

Well, if I had to go through all of this to get you to come out of hiding and join us, I guess it's worth it. :)

We enjoy sharing the trips. It's fun to 'be there' again, and it's fun to hear other people tell stories of things that happened to them when they were in the same places, eating at the same restaurants, interacting with the characters, etc.

Shopping is a very dangerous hobby, no doubt!

Thinking of you, MeMom! Prayers and good thoughts for a quick recovery

Thanks, Meg!

MeMom, I didn't realize you are having surgery exactly two weeks after me! That's gotta be a good sign. I wish you a speedy recovery, good thoughts are being sent your way. :goodvibes

Oh and the thought of a Disney walking group is fabulous! I really need the exercise motivation and talking Disney would be great. Marc and Disney talk only gets me so far.

Oh how I wish we could! I love to walk. Well, I did when it wasn't torture. My walking friend and I have such different schedules that we just faded out of doing it regularly, but I want to get at it again as soon as possible. It really helps with the weight issue.

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow MeMom!

If you need a physical therapist, I'm just a short plane ride away! :rotfl:

Seriously, though, rest up afterwards and don't push yourself to get back to normal too quickly!

I've never been to where you live, so I may fly up to get some advice. :)

good wishes for you tomorrow!!

Thanks for the good wishes!

 Thinking of you MeMom!! Lots of prayers and positive thoughts!!

I'll take them all!

:hug:Good Luck tomorrow MeMom!

I have a new phobia, tink....fear of no water! It's as bad as our claustrophobia, too!

Sending you lots of prayers tonight Memom! Glad to hear the paperwork is done and you can stop thinking school for a few days. It's kind of like a mini summer vacation!

Yep, school is not going to be on my mind this week. I worked fervently to set everything up, and I need to just forget it! The crazy thing is, yesterday was the last day of testing, so the first real day of teaching, I won't be there!

MeMom....will be thinking about you

I guess they couldn't make your surgery 09:09a for you tomorrow

I'm sure the boys will be just fine helping you and if you need anything you know I'm RIGHT down the road!! If needed I would love to help anyway I can!!

Hugs!!

I should have begged for 9:09. That would mean I would be drinking water again by this afternoon. Instead, I don't get water until tonight. I hate this!

I'm going to need all of you to be drinking extra water today and appreciating that luxury! :goodvibes

I think we're good to go. I'm going to run to the store and be sure there are frozen meals and easy things ready for the next couple of days. My co-teacher at school gave me a gift certificate to Cracker Barrel, so I will save that for when Jill is here this weekend, because she loves Cracker Barrel. That was so kind of her to do that, and it will come in very handy. Food is always such a nice and practical gift!

Good luck tomorrow MeMom!

Thank you, ma'am!

Good luck and good thoughts coming your way for a quick and as "pain free as they can get it" recovery.
Don't over do it and you will be good as gold for Disney in Oct!
pixiedust:

Sounds wonderful!

Six weeks from now I'll be kicking up my heels in Disney World! :yay:

Good luck tomorrow! Prayers for a speedy recovery!

Thanks. Maybe you can give me some fun Hannah phrases to help me laugh my way through the next few days. I can only imagine the conversations there would be if Hannah and Brooklynn got together to play. It would be worthy of recording, I'm sure. :)

I'm just getting caught up again and seeing that you're about to have surgery! Good luck and 'see' you when you get back to feeling better!

It's good that you found your way back to the DIS after your long absence. I glanced at some of your pictures, and they are incredible. In the next few days, I will have time to come over and really catch up.

Good luck tomorrow Memom. Keeping you in my prayers!

Thank you.

Wait, what did I miss here?!?

MeMom, you are going to do great and there is no way you will be that one in a million person with complications. Even though you ARE a one in a million person to all of us!

We're going to meet in the middle of the country and have a Disney walking group! :thumbsup2

Out of a million people, you probably don't know another 52 year old grandmom who wears Minnie Mouse earrings, has an Eeyore alarm clock, and has a Mickey Mouse TV in her back room.

memom....i'm SO glad i came by here before your surgery tomorrow to wish you well. i almost missed sending you some good vibes from georgia!!! :goodvibes

you will have lots of DISers thinking of you tomorrow and i will definitely be one of them. hopefully you will be up and at 'em in no time. i KNOW you will!

in the meantime.....

thgetwelleeyore.jpg

You know I love my friend, Eeyore! Thanks for that, Dawn. Glad you made the pre-op party! party:

Remember, however, that there is no drinking at this party...water or otherwise. No eating, either.
Not a very cool party, huh???

The post-op party will be much better. :)

:hug:Good Morning MeMom!! I will be saying a special prayer for you!!!!

Now I walk everyday (almost LOL) after school around our football field so when that knee is feeling all better you come down to my neck of the woods LOL and we'll get Leslie here too and we'll walk then. LOL

Thinking of you today!!!!!!

Aw, what the heck! Since I can't walk around Pop this morning for real, why don't we all pretend walk around it together!

Did it snow overnight at Pop in July?
Kinda looks like it.

The thought of fifteen friends in a phone booth is frightening to me.

Good morning to the bunny,

and the ducks.

I dream of this place being full of life in the future.

Now that is much more like where I'd like to be tis morning! My DH likes to get up while it's still dark as well; I just cannot pry my eyes open that early, but now I'm wishing I had!

It's amazing how close these guys will let you get. They are so use to humans.

IMG_0408.jpg

These had been newly painted shortly before we arrived.

IMG_0409.jpg

Our little cousins will have fun playing here in October.

IMG_0410.jpg

This will be their first stay at Pop, so we hope they like it as much as we do.

Let's go see what's happening inside.

Now we're heading back to the room.

IMG_0431.jpg

And now we've arrived at the room,

IMG_0432.jpg

so our walk is over.
It's been fun! I wish I could start more days out walking around Pop for real!

Thanks for my early morning walk around Pop -- it has put a spring in my step for all the times I have to walk to the computer lab today to test students on their Lexile levels!

I will be thinking about you this afternoon, MeMom! :goodvibes

The 50's song titles are cracking me up!

The Pop shop is so much bigger than the one at POR was! I wonder how the one at ASMovies will look... I cannot wait to find out!

MeMom, Poppin in to say best wishes and get well soon.
We will be thinking of you today. Hope for a speedy recovery for you and don't over do it.

Rhonda

believe me, i'd much rather be attending the pre-op party rather than sitting where i really am, in probate court! ugh.....boring stuff.

Over to the fifties section.

IMG_0388.jpg

mine and ray's room was on the 3rd floor right under the the "be" in "be bop" on our very first trip together in 2007. good memories!

and the ducks.

IMG_0397.jpg

i think the ducks are still snoozing. or they may be awake and thinking, "what is this crazy lady doing taking our picture so early????" :rotfl:

by the way, those empty skee ball machines are calling my name!

I do appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers, and hopefully I won't be the one in a million that has complications of any kind. I'll be back here being as goofy as ever as soon as I am coherent, I am sure.
[/B][/COLOR]

I already think you are one in a million so you should be clear from the doctor's odds! Thinking of you and hope to hear all went perfectly!!

What a wonderful way to start my day! I enjoyed the morning walk around Pop!
It put a smile on my face this morning!

Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Tomorrow is your doctor visit - is that right?

Yes - my appt is at 10:00 AM, in about an hour. I am glad to finally see the doctor. I haven't been yet and am 10 weeks (when I had Abby I got to go at 6 weeks). It is just nice to hear that heartbeat to know everything is going OK so far. I am also anxious to ask questions about the swine flu/vaccine. I am just going to do what my doc thinks is best. Best of luck today to you!
