Jeant2k,

I just read your silverplan/bronze plan thread.

I was wondering why the bronze plan is not listed on the official Disney website?I would love to run the numbers using that plan and see if it would make my vacation more affordable.

Also--if I booked the bronze plan and as the time neared to have my package paid for in full, saw that I could swing the extra money to change it to the silver plan---could I do that?

Thanks!

I sent you a PM.

Sorry I can't help you with the Bronze plan-I actually have never heard of it.

TooBoyz4us, I, too, had never heard of the Bronze Plan but a wonderful Disney Cast Member had told me about it. He said that it was basically the number of *magical wishes* that was the difference between the Bronze Plan and the Silver Plan. Click here to go to the "Disney’s Silver Plan & Bronze Plan Vacation Packages (2003)" thread. If you look through that thread, you will find the following information:

- - - - - - -
BRONZE PLAN
All guests on the Bronze Plan receive one (1) Magical Wishes Feature per person per night.

and

SILVER PLAN
All guests on the Silver Plan receive two (2) Magical Wishes Features per person per night.

I don't know anyone who has done the Bronze Plan but maybe some here on the Dis has and will let you know what they thought of it.

As to your "upgrade" question, my *guess* would be that you could upgrade your package plan right up until the last minute. A quick phone call to Disney could answer that for certain, though, and that is what I would suggest (so you know what the "rules" are and can work within them accordingly).

I was told under the old Grand Plan (I asked this question on several occasions in the past) that if I decided to add it on at the last minute, Disney usually preferred 24-hours notice to get everything in order (printing the Grand Plan check-in material, getting the Disney computer system set up to handle the Grand Plan for my party, etc.). Secretly, I thought that if I wanted that plan to start immediately, Disney could have probably pulled it off. ;) But those were the old days. I have no idea how today operates. Again, a call to Disney could answer any questions.

Thankyou so much Janet2k !!

Your posts are always so helpful, informative and clear.
I will give Disney a call and see what they say.

Thankyou again!!!
