Brokers and credit cards

Brokers would have to pay a fee to accept the credit card payment so I doubt any of them would do it for free.

I think it depends on the title company, not the broker. I had one resale through Fidelity where I paid the deposit with a credit card with no fee, and one where credit cards were not an option.

I recently did same, they encouraged it. After the fact, wondered if CC company will process it as cash advance or not. :earseek:Guess I'll find out soon enough

I just purchased an Aulani contract through Fidelity. The title company, timeshare title inc, took the deposit of $1000 on a cc. They don't take Amex. No fee and not a cash advance purchase. They get the number and have you fill out form when offer is signed around. They don't charge the card until after it passes rofr. Nice thing about that is that I knew as soon as rofr passed and if Disney had taken it, the timeshare co just wouldn't have charged the card/no hassle trying to get the deposit back.
