There's a broker out there guaranteeing the minimum price sold, as well as the time frame (14 days).

Its kind of an interesting guarantee given today's market.

Just wondering what the dvc community think about such a guarantee...

I just found it after googling a bit- I tried plugging in what we own and wow, their estimates are low! They "guaranteed" BWV at $73/pt, for example. I guess that's where the guarantee comes in. Though, their prices are lower across the board on a regular basis, I find.

There are realtors that advertise if your house doesn't sell, then they'll but it. Same thing here. The trick is, their guaranteed price leaves them room to make money, plus they still take their commission. I plugged in some of my contracts, and they're coming up as much as $40/point lower than I would ask.

that is an interesting tactic. If the contract does not sell in 14 days then they buy BW for $73? and then turn around and sell it for $90 per point... they make money either way.

It is interesting that the price increases a little for small 25 point contracts and decreases around 100 or so points. I even entered 1,000 points and the price stays the same.

DVC might take in with ROFR at $73.
