Just a word of advise to anyone taking a stroller out to Florida!

After many hours trying to decide on which stroller to buy for our trip to Disney, we decided on a 'Jane Energy' as my baby daughter could lie flat in it during evening and it looked quite sturdy!

We purchased a stroller bag from Mothercare for it as it was brand new, but when we arrived at Orlando airport and got it out of the bag two of the wheels had snapped off!! As you can imagine this was not much fun trying to get all the way over to the other side of MCO with two suitcases, 2 heavy bags and having to balance my 1 yr old daughter on 3 wheels being 23 weeks pregnant as well!!!!

All we were offered by Virgin was a 'lost property stroller', that was dirty and didn't recline, with NO hood to protect her from the sun, and a letter for us to claim on insurance. (which is not worth doing due to excess on policy) Not a great start!

My point is that I don't think it's worth putting strollers in bags as the baggage handling staff can't see stroller properly and handle it with alot less care!! It must have taken some force for 2 wheels to snap right off!!

Beware!

well they managed to mangle the frame of my son's new wheelchair and being metal dear knows how they did that without throwing heavy stuff on top of it and that was it going in the hold last :confused3

Oh dear :(

That is a cautionary tale. I always assumed they put them in clear bags so the staff could see them, but obviously not!

That must have been an absolute nightmare with such a young child.
