Broken Ornament :(

I really hope someone can help me out. This morning we went to the basement to discover that our cat had been in to our stored Christmas decorations. Back in January, when we were at WDW and I was still pregnant, we got a tree ornament for our then-unborn baby for baby's first Christmas. Well, wouldn't you know that the only thing the cat had broken was that particular item. DH and I are absolutely heartbroken. We don't go back until February so our DS won't have his only ornament in time.

So, I was wondering if there is any sort of company that would be able to send us a personalized ornament, like the one we had bought. We are in Canada but are willing to pay to have it shipped. The one we had was from DTD with "Baby's First Christmas" on one side and "2009" on the other with some pixie dust or whatever around the font. It was just one of those plain red Mickey heads.

If you have any suggestions on how we could replace it before Christmas, we would greatly appreciate it.

I would call the Christmas store in DTD. They have those ornaments and I'm sure they will personalize it for you (at a cost) and ship it to you (at a cost).

If the CM that answers the phone can't help you, ask for the store "manager".

the CM's at the Christmas store in DTD are VERY helpful. I have had to call them twice after mishaps with receiving ornaments that we had mailed home (the first time we got someone's 'just married' ornament - clearly wasn't ours! The second time it was broken in transit).

Give them a call (call WDW-INFO and ask to be transferred to the Christmas store) and see if they can help! You may get voicemail but if you leave a message they should call you back.

This is really helpful info and makes me feel much better. I assume they will just charge my Visa over the phone? I will call the store directly tomorrow and if that fails, merchandising. Thanks again.
