Broken Christmas Ornament

So my family and I were on the Magic this May (going on the Fantasy next May) and we bought a few Christmas ornaments. Well (you can see where this is going) when we got the ornaments out yesterday the one that my 5 year old daughter had picked out must have broken somehow on its trip home...we of course didn't realize that until we unwrapped it yesterday.

We really just want to replace the item if it is still being sold.

I called Disney Park Merchandise (the phone number listed on the receipt) but they don't stock that item...and could not help.

I called Disney Cruise Line and the only thing they could recommend was to email the guest services group at disney.guest.communications@disneycruise.com

So I'm going to try that route...but not thrilled I can't talk to someone personally.

Does anyone have any other suggestions???
 
What does it look like? I would recommend asking if someone will be going on a cruise if they could pick one up for you.
 

Love that ornament but I wouldn't pay extra for the ebay one, even on sale. After the sale price closes, the OP could contact the seller and make a reasonable offer. Doesn't hurt to ask.

But the seller probably has a counting feature on her auctions so he/she knows how many people are viewing the auction. And this post on DIS is probably generating a lot of interest.

If you can't find a better deal, just wait a couple of weeks. The seller has two ornaments in the listing, so don't panic yet. Hopefully a more reasonable seller will list an identical ornament.
 
Was it packed by Disney for travel? If so, they might replace it. I'd write to the email address you gave, tell them what happened (and that the other things you bought were fine) and see if they'll exchange it.

It was packed/wrapped by them. We didn't know it was broken until we unwrapped it last night after buying it over 6 months ago. I have emailed them...waiting on a response.

I was hoping there was a phone number to their problem resolution team.

Had an ornament from our cruise last month that we carried off the ship. The neck of the ornament was broken, but in a way that you could not tell until you unboxed the ornament from the plastic case. It was very clearly a manufacturing defect.

Called DCL, who referred me to guest services for park merchandise. Guest Services told me that they do not replace broken items unless they are shipped directly from Disney.

I pointed out that it was clearly a manufacturing defect, and would be willing to send them a photo. They agreed to make a "one time only" exception.

I am trying to find a Disney Dream resin ornament for my little sister. I bought one in September when we sailed for my husband but now my mom desperately wants one for my sister who turned 16 on the AquaDuck (was on it at midnight). I have tried calling Disney Cruise, tried the Disney merchandise number and searched google extensively. If anyone has any new suggestions or is sailing soon and would be willing to pick one up without a huge markup, I would be very grateful! :)
