I went to see this movie just for the hell of it Monday. I noticed two people got up and left halfway through. So I wonder if anyone got offended

I laugh when people do that.

That happened when we went to see 40 Year Old Virgin. What did they think it would be about???

Didn't offend me, or the hetero couple that went to the movie with me. Thought it was a good movie.

I think it's a case of "to each their own" I choose not to see it so I don't go. I have stepped out of a bad movie before (Mad Max beyond Thunderdome comes to mind) so it doesn't surprise me that someone would too.

I just think is weird I mean if you know what it is about.... why do you go in the first place.........Also why would two people in love offend you...its just weird

Why? If they really dont like a movie why should they force themselves to sit through it? I have walked out on movies myself.

No one walked out of my theatre, but after the movie in the restroom I heard some women making anti-gay remarks and saying she won't see another movie with "that gay Jake Gyllenhaal" :confused3

Why were they even there???

I think maybe it has to do with their mothers. Moms always say, "How do you know you wont like it if you dont try it?" Well they tried it and didnt like it :)

heck no. i dont know about you but i had to seard out a theatre that was playing it. no way would i look all around columbus for the one movie theatre thats playing it and then just leave. no i loved it. i thought it was awesome.

Maybe they thought the movie was boring. It might not have had anything to do with the content. My husband, who is not offended by anything, walked out of the rather banal Dark City, because he was bored.

I wonder why they even went , its not like the movie has not drawn attention for its content.

I have walked out of one movie in my whole life . It was bad it was a wierd Robin Williams movie called "What Dreams may come " really freaky I walked out and left my BIL and Dh in there and told them to call me when it was over and I would meet them . I went shopping and they saw the movie.

I left halfway during Sin City. I was so disgusted I couldn't stand to watch it anymore. It's the only movie I've left.

I know it is odd in this day with all of the media hype over movies, but maybe they didn't know what it was about.

I've only ever walked out of one movie, "The Helstrom Chronicles". I thought it was a sci-fi movie. It turned out to be a documentary on bugs. Yuck!

Not at all! I thought it was a really good movie

Curious about something....For all the ones who have walked out of a movie..considering movies now cost $10..What do you do
1) Ask for a Refund
2) Go into another theater and watch something else
3) Consider it a lost and leave

Because, even if you don't bother to actually read and see what the movie is about before you go, sometimes the title will clue you in that it just might possibly be offensive. Two examples come to mind -- Striptease and 40-Year-Old Virgin. Again, what on earth would you think they were about?

Walking out on a bad movie is one thing. But I do laugh when people get all offended by the theme.

If you're easily offended, maybe you should 1) check the rating, and 2) check the reviews!

3. We left during Fantastic Four. I was getting hungry, we both thought it was stupid, so we decided we'd rather go eat!! :teeth:
