Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread about broadway and musicals and all that jazz because I've seen so many of you with musical avatars and pics in your sigs. I myself LOVE all plays and musicals. :teeth:  This thread can be about anything and everything to do with any broadway topic. I don't know if this type of things already been done but I thought it would be a good way to talk about my favorite subject with other devoted drama queens (or kings)! :grouphug: I hope we can all have fun with this!!

Yea, I like musicals too. My favorite of all time is Grease, Grease 2 is okay.

My School just recently performed "Jekyll and Hyde", and it was amazing!! It's up there with my favorite musicals.

I rented that Jekyl & Hyde musical from my town library like 2 years ago, I think it was the version with the guy from Baywatch, but it was pretty amazing.

Woo! A Broadway thread! We needed one of these.

I've been rambling on about Broadway since I got to this board, so there's not much for me to say at the moment :) But for shows coming up on my list...I'm seeing The Drowsy Chaperone (brand new musical) the day before Easter, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Spamalot during Memorial Day weekend. DRS and Spamalot I have seen already, but my cousin and aunt want to see them (of course, this is no problem for me). Just saw Rent for the second time in December, Wicked for the fifth time in November (have to see it before Megan Hilty leaves). Well, glad there are other Broadway fans here. Keep 'em coming!

I hated rent!!!!! Sorry,i couldnt watch it! Soo boring! I am not a musical person..

YES!
I just saw Rent for the first time the day before yesterday (the movie) I LOVED IT!!! I was sobbing too...

my faves now are Wicked and Rent. Figures.

Thx disneymaniac24!

You guys did you here? Tarzan's got a brodway musical! I think they're using the stage that they used for Moving Out for it. I like Tarzan, :thumbsup2 but why give Moving Out the boot? It was so popular! Why not just build a new stage? :confused3

525600 minutes

525000 moments so dear

525600 minutes

how do you measure, measure a year?

(chorus)

In my chorus, we are singing a Broadway Medly. It has:

Oh What A Beautiful Morning (Oliver)
Comedy Tonight(Something Funny Happened On the Way to the Forum)
Luck be a Lady(Guys and DOlls
On My Own(Les Miserables)
Who Will Buy?(Oliver)
Where is Love?(Oliver)
Don't Cry FOr Me Argentine(Evita)
Mem'ry(Cats)
Consider Yourself(Oliver)

Then we sing Seasons of Love. I heart chorus!

Me too!

Here's a random thing. You know how when you're little it doesn't occur to you that what's happening in a movie isn't happening in real life? I used to watch movies like the Wizard of Oz and the Sound of Music and wonder "I wonder how they all know how to do that? What are they, on the same brainwave or something?" :rolleyes2

Just a funny little thought.

My favorite musical is West Side Story. I also love Phantom of the Opera, Footloose, and Oklahoma! (my first musical, so its automatically close to my heart)

I love musicals
I love love RENT I have seen the movie at least 20 times (not exaggerating) and going to see it on Broadway soon (new york girl here)
I also really want to see wicked
Other muscials i love are grease MY FAIR LADY and probably a bunch of other i am currently forgetting :rotfl2:
I am a singer myself so i really love all musicals (just not west side story ughh sorry)

Wow happy to have started this! I'm glad to see so many of you excited about this! :cool1: It's my passion!(as you might have guessed)
Hey PatriotsRule (which they do - me being a Boston girl myself) - that actually isn't random! I've always thought (well not always, when I was little) thought that!! How do they all know the same songs? :confused3 How do they all know when/what to sing? :confused3 Why randomly sing? :confused3 And how do they know how to sing together when they're not?
And I'm so shocked to see someone who doesn't like Rent!!!! Well that's ok, we'll just have to find a musical you like!

(As you can probably tell I like to use smilies to express myself :) - and I like puttin' stuff in parenthesis!!)

I wish I saw Rent. I know that must make me a horrible musical person to have not seen it, but hey. I've only seen bits and pieces, but I LOVE what I saw!

And by the way:
Go Sox!!!
