Broadway Concert Series Question.

We have gone quite a bit in the past few years, almost always on a weekend (we're sorta local), and we walk in a few minutes before it begins or even after it's started. Never stood in line, and always had a good seat.

I don't personally see a value in dining packages like I do Candlelight because they don't have near the draw of the Eat to the Beat concerts or Candlelight. Much of the seating has stayed empty, if I recall (towards the back, of course).

Great shows, though!

For those who've done the Broadway Concert series during Festival of the Arts, is the dining package worth it?

If you didn't do the package, what kind of waits did you have?

TIA.
I was surprised to see dining packages for the Broadway series. We have seen this show in the afternoon and there was always plenty of empty seats. The show wasn't popular enough to attract a large crowd when we saw it back in 2020, the last time they had it.

I agree with the other posters. I LOVE the Broadway series shows, and Festival of the Arts in general, but the shows are never full. No reason at all to book a dining package.

Oh good, I was afraid my memory was faulty, because I couldn’t remember dining packages either. I don’t remember seeing long lines waiting for the show to start, either - seems like we just walked up and found a seat. Maybe they’re expecting large crowds because these are the first shows in 2 years, or maybe they’re hoping to drum up a lot of FOMO by offering dining packages. We’ll be there in January, so we’ll see.

The popularity of the show can depend on just who is performing.
Since so many stage performers have been (essentially) out of work for so long, it is possible (possible)
that some bigger "names" might be on the stage.
We'll know more as the events get closer.

Oh, I know, even though they've announced the schedule of performers there can always be changes!

Definitely agree.

Festival of the Arts is Epcot's "Laid Back Festival".

Very "low key" and very enjoyable.:)

We did book a dining pack once, but felt it wasn’t worth it.

In January 2020, I had a dining package, and got a good seat. Another night, I went standby, and got an equally good seat (just on the other side of the stage) with only waiting about 20 minutes. So, I would say: no, you don’t need a dining package.

How soon before the show did you arrive each time?

For the one I had the dining package for, I arrived less than 10 minutes before showtime because I got delayed at a shop. For the standby one, maybe 20 minutes before they started seating, which was probably about a half hour before showtime—so a total of about 45 minutes before showtime.
