Broadway Club

I met Anthony Rapp today! He was at a bookstore for a book signing for his book. He signed my book and a RENT hat I won at the store. I was in heaven!!!

Absolutely LOVED Next to Normal. My faves are" I'm Alive" and "Superboy and the Invisible Girl"

So, my best friend won tickets to see Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway this Thursday and she chose to take her mother instead of me. RIDICULOUS! xD

 the travesty!

I was supposed to see Stephanie J. Block in Wicked in 08, but of COURSE she called out that day. I did see Annaleigh Ashford, though. I've also seen Sutton Foster in Shrek: The Musical.

I'm hoping to make it out to American Idiot before John Gallagher, Jr. leaves!

Oh, and I've seen Kyle Riabko and Blake Bashoff in Spring Awakening. Amazzzinggg.

Indeed! :sad1: haha

I wish I could say I have a long list of Broadway shows under my belt but, sadly, that's not the case. I've saw Wicked last Spring and Beauty and the Beast when I was 11, and that's it. But I do have a long list of shows I want to see, including Legally Blonde and Mary Poppins. :goodvibes

funny story about annalise...

so a few years back they had a Wicked halloween party downtown. we went... i dressed as elphaba my sis as dorthy(this was the year wicked came to chicago and everyone was like your being who?) so part of the party was a parade. they had tiny trains to ride in and trucks etc... we chose the horse drawn carriage. well it wasn't really filling up and we we seatied right behind the cariage driver. two girls(one with a popular shirt, the other with the palin old wicked shirt) walk by with there little dogs. my mom leans over the carriage side and asks these two girls who looked confused if they needed seats. they turned her down politly. the driver then leans over and signals to the girls. both climb up into the front of the wagon next to the driver, grab the mic's and announce that for the chicago exteneded run they will be laying elphaba and galinda! once they sit down they turn to face my family and we start having a conversation! it was wonderful!!! but because we where kind to them before anyone knew who they where we got to ask them questions and chat it up! my friends where so immpresed when i went back to school that i knew how elphaba flied.

So good! Just saw it for the second time (the tour) on Sunday.

I loooooove Broadway, except no one will take me to NYC.:confused3

Of course my parents are New Yorkers, so everything else besides NY is "lame," and my Dad will probably nag about it for weeks.:headache:

I saw Hairspray, and I'm going to NY this summer, and I want to convince my Dad to go to the City.:thumbsup2

American Idiot got a RAVE review from the NY Times! Congrats, cast of AI!

That's awesome!
I read the Wikipedia description of it, and didn't understand it..

But then again, if you read Spring Awakening or Next to Normal's wikipedia, it doesn't really make much sense, either.

Exactly.

It makes more sense in the synopsis that comes with the OBC recording.

I think Spring Awakening's wikipedia page makes sense. At least, it does to me

I want to see AI wicked badly. My best friend saw the final preview and loved it, and said I would love it. My school drama department goes to NYC to see a show every year, and we're probably seeing AI this year. So. Excited!!!
