Covered alcohol prices with Dining plan

I am wondering if there is a price limit for cocktails on the Disney Dining Plan? Looking at some of the menus I can see that cocktails can run around 16 to 19 each. Is there a set price for what is allowed for ordering cocktails on the dining plan?

Separate question - can kids get a non-alcohol specialty drink that is offered on the adult menu with the plan instead of milk or soft drink?

I’m not sure about a price limit, but the third party owned places have more restrictions. Quick service in Mexico excludes some of the margaritas, and Japan quick service doesn’t include any of the mixed drinks. I don’t know about the kids drink question.

Most of the time it cover's any cocktail or glass of wine on the menu. I have ordered wine up to $26 a glass as I recall.

When we were at Disney a few years ago and used one of the dining plans, each restaurant would let us know when ordering which alcoholic beverages were not included. As I recall, the most expensive ones tended to not be covered under the dining plan, but there were plenty of other choices that were included. I don't believe it was a specific price cap, but related more to excluding the very high end ones from the dining plan.

Don't forget, you tip on the cost of the drink, too. Tips are not included in the DDP, so 4 $25 drinks adds an additional $20 for tip. And we were able to get a specialty shake on the DDP for a teenager, however definitely ask first.

Tips are fine - we will be a party of 9 so 18% tips will automatically be added to the bill so I know the amount - I am assuming the bill will list what the 18% and hopefully what a 20% (that is my normal tip) at the bottom.

If the kid is 3-9, they can only get the drink specified for the kids meal (water, milk, soda and sometimes juice). If the kid is 10+, they can order a non-alcoholic speciality drink like a milkshake for their beverage.

I remember back in 2019 the limit was $21.

With ~30% inflation since then it would make sense if that’s now close to $28.

I dont do the dining plan but I do recall seeing on menus under certain cocktails is listed “not available with Disney dining plan” or something to that effect so you could checkout menus online before hand if you’re curious

Each restaurant has its own rules in our experience. At some places it is limited, some not, We used it to cover a $58 glass of wine red wine at Yachtsman last week. Our server told us they were one of the only places on property where you could use it for the entire wine list.
