I bet someone posted this...but I'm going to again just for the heck of it!

The final performance of Rent is going to be released in select theaters across the US and in Canada. One is only about an hour away from my house, and my dad already said he would take me! It is shown from September 24 to I think the 28th or something. So who knows, it could already be on Youtube by then! But I think seeing it in a theater so it feels live would be awesome. Also, did you guys hear who's going to be the final Joanne on Broadway? Tracie Thoms!! She played Joanne in the movie. I thought you all might think that was cool. This news came out like, yesterday, and it's not 100% true. But she said it in her blog, so that's good enough for me! Anyways, I think that's gonna be really cool. She starts on July 26. I know, I was totally shocked and a little bummed that Merle Dandridge isn't the final Joanne. She's great. No one on my other message board knows why she's just leaving randomly. I think it has something to do with Spamalot. She was supposed to go be The Lady of the Lake when Rent closes, but I guess she's taking it on earlier. That's my guess. But yeah, I loved what the beginning of Tracie's blog post said, how 11 years ago she tried out to be Joanne, and now she's finally in it. That's really great

The second pic from the curtain call pics made me cry yesterday! I'm so proud of them!!

Are any of you familiar with the musical Passing Strange? It was an AWESOME new musical this season, written by Stew. It won the Tony for Best Book. And it CLOSED YESTERDAY! I don't understand, it had one of the best scores on Broadway right now, and it just opened in February. Totally didn't need to close.

edit: ahh. the closest Regal chains is an hour and 4 minutes.
