Wow. I haven't been on this thread in alittle while.

Just posting with something really random that I thought you rent lovers might enjoy.

The other day in my school hallway, I saw two girls literally walking up and down the hall singing tons of rent songs. It went on all during lunch, which is 40 minutes.
It was pretty awesome.

Hey, has anyone seen The Lion King yet?
I'm thinking about trying to get my mom to get me tickets to go see it, since I want to go. (I'll pay for it myself.)
I want to know if anyone has seen it and what they thought about it.

I saw it in Chicago a few years ago, it's really good! The costumes are amazing.

Have any of you guys actually SEEN Spring Awakening?

I really wanna see the tour, it's coming to my hometown next year, but my mom said no. Actually she said 'you have to be 18 to get in'. I know she doesn't mean EVERYONE has to be. (there are 14 year olds who have seen it multiple times!) Keep in mind that I will be 15, nearly 16 by the time it gets here, and am mature.

Any help?!

I haven't seen it live, but I have seen *shh!* a video that someone took.

I'm not sure how'd you convince her... maybe have her listen to the cast recording to show her how amazing the music is?

Go to the SA official site. There is a parents guide that helps explain the true meaning of the show to parents.

And yes I have seen it. It is AMAZING and worth every penny.

Yes, I have the OBC recording! And I listen to it obsessively! (She don't know I gots it...shhh!)

When we went to NYC, I got a SA mini-poster. So she knows I like it...

I've seen SA. There are a few parts that your mom might not want you to see (ie, the sex scene... you see nudity), but it's really tastefully done, and if you aren't super close, you really can't see anything.

Most of the problems are the subject matter. But really, there are MANY movies that you've probably seen that are MUCH worse, lol.

And, well, with me (and some friends from work) the issue of homosexuality is no big.

Neither should abuse/suicide (she's a social worker)

I think it's the "mature themes"
