Broadway Club

Has anyone seen her in Legally Blonde?

I saw it on the MTV special, where it showed the whole musical, and it was pretty good.

And I know StichfanJr already asked this, but I don't know about the tour either. :confused3

The Rent tour is in full swing right now!

Here's the full list of dates/locations:

The cast is really good. Anwar from American Idol is Collins, if that's any more motivation to go, lmao.

StitchfansJr, where'd you get those fantasmical icons?! I love them! Maybe cuz I loverr Mark, but still. I want one, too! LOL. Still, love your siggie! And what tour? The RENT tour! It's going on now! In fact, I just saw it last Saturday! It's amazing!

So what's the difference between the tour and on broadway? (Sorry for all the questions.. XD)

Well, the Broadway cast stays in New York and does Rent at the Nederlander Theatre. The Broadway cast is also part of the Actor's Equity Association. The tour cast travels all over the country, and the actors are not Equity.

The show is exactly the same if you see it on Broadway or tour, besides the cast, and a few lyrical changes here and there. (For example, in 'Happy New Year', when Mark sings "You can take the girl outta Hicksville, but you can't take the Hicksville outta the girl" they replaced Hicksville with Jersey because they didn't think people in the rest of America would know where Hicksville is. :p

Are those the only dates and places the tour will be traveling? After the Broadway show is completley over (:sad2: ) will it continue to tour to other locations?

Yesterday my grandma and my little cousin went to go see Wicked again. I wanted to go with, but it would have been my fourth time, and my parents didn't want me to miss school... but they brought me back a hoodie and an autographed poster. We always go on backstage tours when we go.

Yep, the tour is very popular and is selling out everywhere, so I'm sure the tour will continue long after Rent closes on Broadway.

This is the best idea since Broadway itself! lol
It may classify me as a dork but for christmas my mom got me the wicked original cast soundtrack and stuffed it down into the toe of my stocking. So it was like stuck so i turned it upside down and started shaking it. It fell out and i when i saw i honestly started crying. Like full out crying I was so happy!!!

Oh, okay. I doubt I could find anyone who would go with me though. I was having a conversation with my friend the other day.
Friend: "I don't like RENT."
Me: "You don't even know what it's about."
Friend: "So? I don't like it."

RIP Jonathan Larson... 12 years ago today was when he passed away. Who knows what great musicals we've never heard.

Jonathan Larson died today? =[ I couldn't remember when he died but I remember his birthday. I even marked it on my calender.....

:worship:

RIP Jon Larson! We all miss you so. I'm playing the RENT OBC soundtrack in your honor. You'd be proud, Jon. Did you know that your musical made the number 7 longest-running musical in Broadway history, playing for 12 years? They dedicate each and every performance to you. There was also a movie musical made! You've touched so many hearts with your music, your message, and your story. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
