Brits in USO

It was great to see you all last week, you all really made the setting of Wizarding World that much more real. I honestly didn't expect there to be so many non-Americans around the park and it was really a neat experience. The girlfriend and I probably counted more people from Spain than from the US and the amount of Brits were 10x THAT amount. I would say we picked the right time to go!

Did we just happen to pick the best time for British vacation?

Most English/Welsh and Northern Irish schools go back late this week or early next week.

It is a popular time for a lot of Brits.

Scottish schools go back mid August but many will take their kids out as prices are so much cheaper out of school term for a lot of people.

Did we just happen to pick the best time for British vacation?

The British people I encountered already had kids in school BUT they could save so much money by coming now that they were here.

All of the British people I spoke with had already started school before last week. Hmm! Good discussions of how much the fines were for taking their kids out, etc etc.

Most English schools haven't back started yet......

Scottish kids went back a few weeks ago. Our village school starts tomorrow as they finished very early this year in July, but all the other schools start Monday.

Yes, each parent is fined per child they take out, but savings can be thousands of pounds so that's why they do it.
