My kids are less than a year apart, my brother and I are less than a year apart, my dad's brothers are exactly a year apart. I guess it runs in my family.
Anyway it is REALLY hard to have two less than a year apart when they are babies. I don't recommend it. Hannah wasn't walking yet, and she was very clingy and didn't sleep well. I was nursing Emily which was difficult, and working full time. I remember standing beside Hannah's crib in the middle of the night one time, leaning over the rail patting her back trying to get her to go back to sleep with my right hand, while holding Emily in my left hand, nursing her. They didn't have the same nap schedule, so I never got any rest during the day. Again, it was REALLY hard.
However, now I am so thankful to have them so close together, and it is working out splendidly. The girls ended up in the same grade in school, and participate in the same activities, so we only have to do everything once.
I think Britney is going to need a lot of help from family and friends, and probably domestic help as well, to keep up with her career (if she decides to resurrect it), her relationship (if she decides to resurrect it) and still be an involved mother with her children.
