Britney

Any possibility the surgery was scheduled for the 14th, but nature took it's own course and there was no choice but deliver at 2:00 a.m?

Guess not.

No, they said that K-Fed insisted on doing it before the 14th.

I heard that 2 people in the delivery room with her were her Mom & her sister.

K-Fed put his foot down, then didnt show up anyways? :confused3

No, I heard he was there but also her Mom and sister were there.

Youre probably right - on E news, or whatever I had on said "attending the birth were her mom and sister" they probably just excluded Mr K-Fed for controversy....

I agree with others. The 2am deal sounds like a privacy issue. Quiet hospital, no visitors, no press. I wish them best and I wish the baby a long, happy life.

I heard on the radio that Britney really wanted to have the baby on September 14th (the birthdate of her first child), but that K-Fed put his foot down and wanted the kids to have their own birthdays. Why would she want her kids to share the same birthday?

I actually have cousins that were born exactly one year apart. My aunt had a scheduled C section for the second child. She chose for them to have the same birthday. I'm not sure of the reasons why.

My cousins were both fine with it. They celebrated together, but they always had seperate cakes.

To be honest, my DS and Dniece have birthdays one day apart and they both get celebrated together on the weekend.

I read that she wanted them to have the same birthday because it would be cute, and when she has a third child, to be born in the same month too, because with her career, it would be easier for her to have one big party instead of parties thoughout the year. :confused3

Oh, brother!

I wouldn't mind having the birthdays close (best way to re-use clothing) but I sure wouldn't choose to have them on the same day.

I was never given a choice of when I wanted my c-sections scheduled. The hospital just called and told me when to show up. Of course I'm not a celebrity ;) . DD#2 was scheduled the day before DS's birthday. I ended up going into labor 3 days before and had a c-section at 3am.

I too think the 2 am thing was for privacy/security issues.

I wonder if they didn't state K-Fed was there since they thought that was a given, and therefore just mentioned her mom and sister?

As for the b-day thing...I actually agree with K-Fed. I am a twin so I already share my birthday...and my dad's is 3 days after ours. I HATE it. I always wanted my own day, own party, own cake, etc. But it always gets lumped in with my brother and dad. Then, for icing on the cake, my DS was due ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Everyone else thought it was so funny, but I was so upset. Luckily DS came two weeks early so he has his own birthday far enough away from his mom, uncle and grandfather.

I was about 11 days overdue with my DD and she had no intention of coming out on her own. So, the Dr. scheduled me to be induced early on my DH's bday. We both wanted DD to have her own birthday, so we asked to go in later in the day knowing full well that she wouldn't be born within a couple hours.

After 18 hours of labor, she arrived via C-section. She's still pretty stubborn too!

I surely hope K-Fed was there!!! I hope she does well with the 2 babies... it's going to be hard for anyone to juggle 2 babies that close in age, let alone someone with that noteriety.

My grandfather and his sister had the same birthday, 3 years apart. No caesarian, not induced - it was just a complete coincidence.

My dad is a doctor in labor and delivery. I asked him about this and he said that the latest they schedule a c-section at his hospital is around 6pm. All the middle of the night deliveries are just nature. He said it was definitely for security/privacy reasons. How old is Britney? Isn't she pretty young? 2 kids under 1...WOW!

I couldnt imagine haveing 2 kids less than 1 year apart.

now on the birthday thing, when I was pregnant with DD she was due at the end of June. Alot of people in my family have June birthdays and were offering me $ to have them on her birthday :lmao: Well she was born June 23 was not induced, natural labor on my Moms 40th birthday :rotfl2:

And probably the best present your Mom ever got. My nephew shares my Mom's bday. She loved having him as a bday present.

That is so true!

I have a friend that had c-sections scheduled for both babies due to a physical condition. Both times she went into labor prior to the planned section date. Both times the babies were born in the middle of the night. She wasn't too pleased.
