Just a rant.

Was reading she started her tour last night. Didn't sing a single word. Does anyone that likes her or is going to see her, feel bothered by that? I go to a lot of concerts. If I ever found out the artist didn't perform, I'd be furious. You're paying to hear them perform.

I guess I can see young girls going to see her who don't know any better. But what adult could possibly have interest in that?

I rarely go to concerts and now I just assume they are doing voice overs.

I don't disagree. Many perform live, and many lip-sync. I go to concerts to be entertained. If her performance entertains the audience, she will do well. If not, back to the drawing board.

BTW, it looks like she really hit the gym. She looks hot again. That will not hurt her ticket sales...

For somebody like Britney Spears - or any other new entertainer who is more about the show than the music - I would really actually prefer them not to sing live. I like the way the songs sound on the radio so I would be happy just watching the performer do the dance number and lip sync the song.

For a REAL musician, I would assume they could do a live show. If I went to see Elton John and Billy Joel again I would want them to sing it all!!

She can't sing! Her voice is just digitalized, that could be done for anyone. As soon as 'Womanizer' comes on the radio, I can't turn it off fast enough!

Bruce is definitely singing.

Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews, Oasis, Aerosmith - Seen them all in the past 2 years and no doubt they were performing.

When I saw Aerosmith in Dallas, there is no way he wasn't doing a voice over. He was having health issues at the time.

Motley Crue before him? Too perfect.

Superbowl? Bruce Springsteen did sing live but the band was not. That was obviously because they could not set up a band in that short amount of time.

I think at times artists get very run down and cannot put up a full performance, so they may use voice overs.

It probably goes on alot more than you think is all I am saying.

Now Britney is in a class by herself. No comment there.

I'm going next Wed. with my BFF and my sister and her friend- I don't know if it bothers me or not; I have always been a fan and am glad to see her life is in a more positive place now. But, I guess I'm paying more for the "show" than her actually singing? Does that make sense? I always think the songs sound better on the CD than they do in person. Just my 2 cents...
Either way- I will enjoy my 3.5 days away from home;out to dinner, "Mom, where's this/that?" etc,and a spa day-so either way I'm thrilled to being going to see her-and I HAVE ALWAYS loved her!
