I keep an eye on who's playing at the House of Blues in DTD and have just spotted that 'the M&Ms' are playing there on Saturday night - 19th May. I'm fairly certain that that is the name that Britney is using for her unofficial comeback concerts.

Having looked into it, there is a very strict 'no cameras or cellphones' policy advertised and the style of music is advertised as 'Pop, Dance' - so I suspect I'm right.

Tickets go on sale on 15th, if anyone's interested?

Wow - that's a pretty big one for HoB. Thanks for posting, Julie. :thumbsup2

she perfomed at House of Blues at Anaheim recently, so probably right.

Julie, please pardon my lack of knowledge, but I ask you a simple question.
Why would anyone pay to see 12 minutes of lip synching from this group?

Actually... "the M&Ms" might be the Mickeys & the Minnies - who feature a rehash of 1930's and 1940's pre WWI tunes.

Everyone has different taste in music. I myself wouldn't choose to go - but I thought others might find it interesting and/or enjoyable. That's why I put the thread there - to share information with others.

Don't feel you need to justify yourself Julie :) There are some people who always feel the need to make snarky comments ;)

If I was there I'd gladly pay to go and see it, I can't think of many other opportunites that I would get to see a global superstar perform in such an intimate venue. :)

Thanks for posting, it will be interesting to find out if it does indeed turn out to be Britney or not. :thumbsup2

wow that would be fantastic, if indeed it did turn out to be Britney....I would LOVE to see her.
Thanks for the info.....

hope it is her, a nice surprise for anyone going.
well done Britters put the knickers back on and get back on stage where you belong.

Just so every one knows, this is standard HoB policy. We went through "airport" type security when we went to a concert last October and they bands playing were NOT international superstars.

My parents have attended the HoB Sunday Gospel Brunch at DTD, too - no cameras allowed then either. ;)

Julie, I did not ask a question to try to be negative toward your posting of the information. The fact that you caught M$Ms coming to the HoB was perceptive and you were right. I agree with you that others might find it interesting and/or enjoyable.
Please don't think that my question was directed in any way to be negative toward your posting of the information.
I do think that the $35 for a ticket to the performance would also buy 12 large bags of M&Ms, and one could get peanuts as well.

OK. Understood.

:)

ps Have just seen a news article about her changing her baby's nappy by the side of a ride (no, I'm not Britney-obsessed!) and it actually says that she's appearing at HoB in Orlando on Saturday night.

It's on ITN and says "In Florida at the weekend the mum of two will be continuing her mini-comeback tour at the House of Blues in Orlando where she is expected to perform another rendition of her 12 minute lip-synching set."
