British Invasion leaving EPCOT

There are several threads about this over on the Theme Park Strategies board.

According to a note there from one of the guys in the group, British Invasion gave their notice to Disney, with the goal of doing more convention and special event work.

Another "British pop" style group should be installed in the gazebo by early May.

I'll miss them, but there are a ton of British invasion style groups out there. Disney shouldn't have a problem finding a replacement.

I was looking forward to seeing them next year. I'm sure Disney will have no problem finding another Beatles type group though.

I'm happy if someone's going to be there. I've seen many Beatles style bands and I've enjoyed all of them. Best wishes to BI!

Really a shame. They were quite good. The best Beatles "type group" IMO that I have ever heard or seen though is Liverpool Legends in Branson Missouri. They are the spitting image of them and if you close your eyes you'd swear the Beatles were all back together again. George's sister Louise Harrison put the group together. We met her on one of our visits to Branson. Very nice lady.

Curious as to who will replace British Invasion. No doubt Disney will find a really good group.

They need to get a new Beatles cover band. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the change if they just got a new cover band to play there.

We had a Beatles tribute group called "The Return" perform here in The Villages several years ago and they were the best I have ever seen. It would be great if they got the Epcot gig.
