we are booked with ba to fly in may, never flown with them before

we have been with usairways, united and virgin (premium)

how does ba compare with those???

I found them very good, no problems. I've only been on Virgin or BA of the ones you mentioned.
The only difference I would say is the onboard entertainment system is not as good on BA as on Virgin, and the flight attendents not quite as smiley! But perfectly acceptable service.

Flown a number of times with BA and Virgin, United on US internal flight only.

I would take any of them if the price was right, there's little to choose between them in economy in terms of comfort, food, service.
BA and Virgin entertainment is OK on the Orlando route.
A lot depends on the crew to be honest.

Virgin check-in options are good but not a deal breaker for me.

Have always enjoyed our flights with BA to Florida - in fact, we'll be using them again this May, too. :goodvibes

I found their services to be about the same as Virgin and United. :thumbsup2

I've had no problems with BA in the past and will be flying with them again in April :)

If the price/date/time/airport combination is right, I'm usually happy with any airline that'll take me ;) but I do especially like BAs' retractable foot rest :cloud9:

Used Ba for recent flight to New York, excellent service and the best seat back video system I have seen. Have booked BA for flights to Orlando in December.

We tend to switch between Virgin and BA dependent on price. In my experience BA are the better operator: Cabin Crew appear more mature and attentive; far less likely to have delays; Food (though bad) slightly more edible; better entertainment system (Virgin's always appears to break down); aeroplanes appear cleaner and better maintained.

All these are "marginals" though and as I said, for me the price tends to swing it eg:

2 years ago for 3 tickets BA were £200 cheaper so we flew BA (they also gave us a free upgrade for booking early)
Last year Virgin were £100 cheaper so we flew them
This year 3 tickets at BA were £1550 against Virgin's £2000, so yes, you've guessed it, we're flying BA this year
