Hi there!

Is it okay to bring a few water bottles - frozen - with us? How about a refillable glass bottle? Or a Sig (metal bottle)?

Thanks in advance!

Few water bottles? Yes.
Glass water bottle? No.
SS/aluminum bottle? Yes.

Glass might be an issue, but otherwise yes.

You can also ask for glasses of water at counter service restaurants. And at Rancho del Zocalo there are small cups next to a tap.

If you don't want to carry around several (heavy) water bottles, just bring one or two in with you and refill at the locations which have cold filtered water--Plaza Inn, Rancho del Zocalo, etc. We do it all the time, and it's SO much easier than lugging around a day's worth of water!:thumbsup2

Did they smell it? I'm guessing to make sure it wasn't filled with alcohol.

There might be one oversealous employee or two, but Disney generally does not make anybody open bottles, and sneaking in alcohol is extremely common and goes uncaught.

We have done everything but the glass with no problem. They don't allow glass bottles into the park. We usually just bring a case or two of bottled water with us in the car and fill up each morning before heading to the park. I find it easier than bringing reusable bottles since one of my kids will inevitably lose their bottle and be upset!

What about food? Will they let you bring snacks and sandwiches?

Yes, you can.
We always bring in drinks and snacks in a small flexible cooler.

Security is located before you get to the food lockers area so they cannot refuse your entry unless it's in a large cooler. So don't bring that 15 gallon one you take camping!

I have never had a problem bringing in a 6 inch sandwich from Subway, or something from La Brea Bakery. And I've seen people bring in McDonald's breakfast. Disney allows a soft-sided 6 can size cooler. I have seen families refused when they had 2 family sized bags of chips in their stroller and I've seen people with larger coolers directed to the lockers in the picnic area. But a packed lunch and some individual snacks should be fine.

This is what I do so I don't have to carry around more than one bottle.

DH has a Camelback that we use in the parks. It's great because we can pack snacks in it too!
