Pam, I'm glad you, Allan, and Joy are AOK! :grouphug:
Andrew, I was so humbled by the courageous spirit of all your countrymen/women on the news yesterday. May God keep you all safe, glad to hear things feel a little better today.God bless!
Barbara

Thank you everyone again, London is up and running again, but remembering the 49 lost yesterday.

49 lost. How sad. All of you are not far from our minds!

Interesting tidbit about Acapulco. I guess we will wait and see what DCL might have up their sleeve.

Looking forward rather than backwards, ( but still in our minds) I noticed Monday is exactly one month until we will depart from London to Las Vegas.

This is the first part of our trip, taking in the Grand Canyon, then Hollywood then Disneyland before the cruise.

Still haven't had a stateroom assigned as yet, when I ask our TA two weeks ago DCLS's response was they would complete the assignments over the following two weeks.

So time should be close now, I see a lot of lower deck assignments have been made, maybe because there are more of them and its easier to do, I had a Cat 8 from the first day, but upgraded and lost my 'firm' stateroom number to a GTY at that time.

I noticed DCL website has occasionally opened up for this cruise, there was a link last weekend with last chance to book PC on it. So there must be a plan to accommodate all of the GTY's if they are still promoting bookings.

I asked my TA to remind DCL I live in the UK and that date of travel to ask them to ensure my cruise document actually get here in time.

If they leave the stateroom number much longer I will start to worry more, as I presume they cannot send the documents out until they have firmed up on the rooms.

Oh my Andrew. You are definitely in a pickle. I would hope that the TA could get DCL to finalize your documents early!

It is hot here in Colorado. I know most of you won't understand this, but I am ready for a cool down. I hate heat. Can you imagine me on the cruise? lol

Yes Dreams are monitoring it, hopfully it will all sort itself out, a week on Wednesday its a month out for the cruise and this Monday is a month out form when I travel, so hopfully I will see something within the next 10 days.

The new DCL website gives comfort thought, you can see you booking and print it off and cruise documents so even if they are delayed across the pond and miss me, they have all the details correct so I am sure we could sort it out at the port.

Edited to add:
Sorry, should have read your entire post...you have seen this already.

Andrew,
On the disney cruiseline website, there is a link to download cruise documents (My Cruise Documents.) Since DCL provided this link, I would think you could use these instead, if needed.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if there is anything that Disney sends via snail mail that you really have to have? Luggage tags maybe?

Good point, the only thing would be luggage tags but you could pick them up at the port, too.

Its justs nice to have the orginals with your stateroom number and everything else, if the DCL website could link into your reservation and actually print off 'your' documents rather than 'general' for all documents that would be great and would save them a lot of post.

You can get this now for other things, I have booked Universal hollwood first in line tickets and they have been perosnalised for us, and show tickets in London can be personalised over the internet now.

Hopfully sometime DCL will perosnalise the on line docs,

Still waiting for the stateroom number, ok DCL if you keep me this long I expect , you are waiting to tell me I have a CAT 3! Then the wait would be ok.

What refund? I must have missed that. I think I payed what was quoited on the first day.

Hi Pam,

When you made your final payment your remaining balance should have been less. When I made our final payment through the TA, he called me back after making the payment with Disney and said my final payment was less than what showed on my statement. Maybe you made your final payment before the changes were made and you will have a shipboard credit. I would check into it, it is not a HUGE amount but it is money I can spend elsewhere.

Sorry Andrew, they are waiting to tell ME that I got a category 3!!! ;) I am a Cat.4 GTY as well, and it is driving me CRAZY not knowing what cabin we have.

We were upgraded right before our first Disney cruise several years ago. When we received our documents, they had the original cabin information on our documents. Disney had us use them even though cabin info was incorrect. Everything made it on board, but we did have to track down the luggage in the hallway outside the original cabin. When we upgraded on this cruise, we were told our packets would be mailed out 30 days before sailing, so you've got a couple days left. Like you said, it can be ironed out at the dock if they're late. Hope this helps.

I know I am looking at DCL My cruise at least 2/3 times a day to see where we are, its only one month now until I fly out on the 11th August to Las Vegas.

I think the higher you are up the less chance of an upgrade as there are fewer staterooms in each category.

2 CAT 1
2 Two bedrooms
16 One bedrooms
82 Deluxe family staterooms Cat 4's
276 Deluxe with verandah
Outside view 247
Etc,

So if, and a big if, Cat 4s were full there are 16 Cat 3's, maybe just maybe...
Dreams come true....

Checking...checking...checking...no stateroom number yet. I want to know our stateroom, but maybe there will be an upgrade for us! I am so torn! :teleport:

A little more than a month to go... you guys ready?

Still dont know what we will do in Acapulco :(
