I'm all set for doing our laundry .

1. Our room is just down the hall from it.
2. Packed our remaining supply of tablets
3. Pre-Measured into plastic jars - powder & oxyclean
4. Have 2 rolls of quarters -- just in case.
5. Even picked pop up hamper bags to drag the stuff to the laundry.


One word of caution - the irons in the laundry rooms - check them carefully before using since some have burn marks on them. A friend of ours almost ruined a shirt from them.

Please, please, please bring rolls of quarters. The change machines are notorious for not working.

I would add, make sure you know where your quarters are when you go through security. Mine came up on the screen and they asked what it was. I said a roll of quarters and they made me prove it. I couldn't locate them easily in the bag and kept digging, holding up the line.

AND MAKE SURE THAT YOUR SPOUSE PACKS ENOUGH TIDY WHITIES TO MAKE IT A FEW EXTRA DAYS!! What is it with guys and this undie rationing thing???

I think they think you can wear them four days -- forward and backward, inside and out

I am going to bring a bottle of the Downy Wrinkle Releaser. Hopefully this will keep me from doing a lot of ironing.

I will be carrying one bottle of Chocolate Vodka for a special friend, I will have it with me on the planes and in the hotel and carry it on the ship, unopened of course! I would hate to mail something like that and run the risk of breakage.

Wow where did you get chocolate vodka? I've made my own before but as we're coming from the UK I don't want to have to bring it all the way from here.

Three Olives is the brand. It is imported from the UK and then the flavours are added in Canada, I believe. It is truely yummy! It is really good if you buy a bottle of maraschino cherries, drain off the liquid and replace it with the chocolate vodka. Let it sit in the fridge a week or so. Now those are some great cherries for your ice cream sundaes!

Three Olives also comes plain, Cherry and Vanilla. I have tried the 3 flavours but never the plain, so I can't tell you if it is a good crinking vodka, or should I say sipping? or not.

That I can't tell you. I do know that I never saw it in Arizona when I lived there. But maybe one of the lushes, er Fools in California can check next time they go to the liquor store?

We are at HoJos too. But don't know if we'll get to the meet. Phil has this thing about seeing the Electrical Parade at DCA. It is the only one we have never seen. So we may be too exhausted to do much more than fall into the bed. He told me I could walk back to the motel by myself for the meet. Not sure that is such a great idea. I tend to get lost. Could end up walking to the port, get there in time to wave. Or maybe not.

Woke up in the middle of the night last night going only three weeks. Oh heavens what haven't I done yet. And the mouse in the little wheel started running putting out lists of things I MUST do. Some of which I decided I just am not doing. There will be two adults here. They're capable.

No, I have not e-mailed Willie. I knew there was a meet being planned, but was not aware that HoJo's was trying to keep all the fools together. Do they know what they are doing? Do they realize how crazy this group is???

Not sure if we will get to the meet on Friday night. This will be our first trip to DL and DCA and I want to make sure I don't miss anything since we probably won't get back again or for at least a long time. But then I will bet the meet will be going well into the night (or morning) however you look at it. Maybe that is why they are trying to keep our rooms together so we don't disturb that other guests.

No docs here. I read on the main board that someone on the 9/3 Magic got their documents. That just isn't right.

I don't think this is the case. No Docs here and we paid in full a few months before we needed to. Still waiting!

No docs for us. We changed from early to late dining, so 3 that were on the waitlist for early have just been bumped up. I haven't accomplished anything along the lines of getting ready except putting three books in my closet for the cruise...if I keep them out I'll read them...can you all sense a woman w/ no self-control ? I have found the remedy for post-cruise blues though...booked some plastic surgery for 9/8...I could have gotten 8/18, thought that would be cutting it (stupid pun !) a little close.

We have been paid in full since Feb. And I still haven't got our Doc's.

I was kinda kidding about the making me wait 'cause I made them wait. I'm just thinking of excuses so that I don't go crazy waiting for them!

wideawake - congrats on the plastic surgery booking. Don't know what you're getting, but I highly recommend it! It does become somewhat addictive though. Wish I could afford more!
